Legendary camera, built like a tank with over 1500 parts. A favorite of photojournalists in its era. Many pros considered it to be the very best manual SLR.
This camera is reputed to be rare compared to the ordinary EXA model of similar appearance. Built under licence from Ihagee it has been reputed to be of a lower build standard, and in some cases to have been re-built in the Ihagee factory. i imported this one from Germany, It looks and performs much the same as the more common model. Note engraving SYSTEM EXA and RHEIN METALL Sommerda.
