SLR's are so beautiful, but I'm not digging this wrap.
Please press L to view on black, looks so much better.
Feedback is always appreciated.
Although I was very much glad to see the return of this casting and indeed the actual Daimler Benz licensing to the Mattel line up i'm now suffering a little bit of overload with it having bought so many in recent months! Our ASDA stores are very much still stuck on Batch A and so this Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren quite literally litters their pegs and baskets in such quantities I now leave them behind! That's not to say its not a classic model because quite obviously it is and now means anyone who missed this model the first time around and are unwilling to pay silly Ebay prices can now get get their own slice of Matchbox greatness! Mint and boxed.

Yeah, I know I posted a shot this like this. But I love this car. It's amazing, I didn't see one for months and months -- and then between Monaco and Cannes in about 3 hours total of spotting I saw 6 of them!
Believe it or not, I've never had one of these before. I found this one, cosmetically mint and with a very sluggish but not jammed shutter, for $6 (body only, the lens is from my dad's Nikkormat) at an antique shop in Nacogdoches, Texas on the way home from Houston.
The Nikkorex F was made by Mamiya with a Nikon lens mount, and sold as a Ricoh as well.
Some day I'll open it up, clean up the shutter, and add it to the sketches on my Tech Notes CD.... but that's some time off, I have a lot of projects ahead of it.

35mm SLR with non-interchangeable lenses. You added a large front element group to change the magnification (wide or tele). It turned out there was no real cost savings doing this and most people tended to opt for an interchangeable lens model instead. Canon upgraded this camera in 1972 to the EX Auto with a better way of adding supplementary lenses.
Shutter-preferred automation, speeds up to 1/500th. Cold accessory/flash shoe. The aperture is set by a dial around the rewind crank; choose your f-stop or set to automatic. The aperture settings work even without battery power. The lens opening you set is shown in the viewfinder. Very solid build much like the Canon FT and FX of the day.

Basic color correction in iPhoto
After messing around in the studio, we ran out of time with half a roll left in the camera. We didn't know what else to shoot, so we took turns with the F100 on the Costco warehouse white colored wall that faced direct sunlight.
I tweaked with the settings hard I will admit.
