Shots of plants and frost formed in the wind

Testing out a new 500mm cheapo Rokinon mirror lens on my Canon 30D. Shot from my bedroom window, this is a run down old house diagonally across the back alley from mine, about 40-50 yards away. Not bad as far as sharpness goes but this lens has nearly zero depth of field and it's real tough to get the focus perfect.

This is at Lullwater Preserve and the dam is across South Fork Peachtree Creek . These photos were all taken with a cheap 10 stop neutral density filer. I was using between f8 and f11 aperture on a 12mm Rokinon manual focus lens at shutter speed of 30 second. Tripod was necessary of course!

Love this lens, was testing both my Rokinon 85mm and the focusing screen for the Canon 6D. Tricky to use but lots of fun.

First attempt, still plenty of work to do on the focus
