Nikon D300 with Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 Aspherical IF @ f/1.4, 1/1250s
Both images are SOOC except for exposure adjustments equal to about 1 stop.
A test shot of my windshield I took this morning before heading over to the college. Beautiful bokeh. Can't wait to use this lens for some portrait work.
Comments so far: Solid lens with very good construction; feels like a Sigma HSM lens. Very usable at f/1.4 and tack sharp in the center. Some people have reviewed it in a negative light for its color fringing and CA tendencies, but I noticed very little of either in the test shots I snapped. For $300, it's one of best deals I've ever come across; so long as you don't mind the manual focus. Stopped down to f/4 (some reviewers believe this to be the sweet spot) the lens is just a tad sharper and obviously a little easier to focus. I'm now also debating getting a split focusing screen for my D300. Thoughts anyone?
The image below was also shot at f/1.4, handheld at 1/25s. Beautiful lens.
