Test shot with the Rokinon 85mm 1.4. Korean lens made by Samyang, also sold as Samyang, Polar, Bowen, Vivitar Series 1. Conclusion so far, nice bokeh, solid lens, encountering Chromatic Aberration frequently when wide open. Sharpness, verdict still out - I need to get better at manually focusing at 1.4.
my new toy. people were giving this lens a bad review but for 250$ you cant beat it. its not a crisp photo, but theres no vignetting and as long as you have a tripod it aint a bad buy. hopefully?
Captured with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC lens.
Distortion-corrected using this Adobe lens profile.
Rokinon 16mm F/2 lens wide open.
Vignetting seems more obvious when shooting vertical. But most of the time I don't mind because I like the look of it.
Fuji 210 instax wide camera + Rokinon Wide angle adapter(it was for some random 35mm canon AF point and shoot)
Makes it 33% wider with slight vignetting, especially considering instax wide film is more than 6 times lager than 35mm...
