High over the Aosta Valley the Blood Moon and Mars (?) take centre stage. For two more hours we dragged our unacclimatised shells over a beautiful, but head-splitting ridge traverse, finishing at the Rifugio Quintino Sella al Felik.
Cool photo I took as the sun was going down, colors weren't great but a half black and white made it work.

Here is a photo taken with my fisheye but I have "recovered" in Lightroom with the correct profile. As there is no option for Rokinon 8mm I used one for the Sigma 10mm. I like the effect it gives.
The Lyskamm traverse offers stunning views of the Matterhorn and Weishorn along it's entire ~10.7km length. With sustained sections above 4400m it additionally offers sustained headaches for the unacclimatised... Long parts are razorblade sharp, sometimes with cornices on both sides!
Still trying to get a hang of this ultra wide angle. Manual focus is easy enough at f5.6 or above. F2 and F2.8 is a bit more trickier. Sun flares are pretty pronounced in this shot.
Beautiful clouds over Downtown Charleston SC.
