On opening day of Disney's Hollywood Studios (05/01/1989) several Disney characters left their hand and footprints in cement at the forecourt of the Great Movie Ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
This picture was taken on Monday, May 15, 2017.
From the 1988 comedy "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" (top).
You will find the tunnel to Toontown (top) on Vermont Ave in Griffith Park. It is also the same tunnel made famous in "Back To The Future".
I didn't notice this detail until I was putting together this composite, but look closely at my red arrows. I assume that these are the concrete anchors that were installed in the face of the tunnel that fastened the Toontown facade in place.

The Ren-Mar Studios in Hollywood stood in as the Maroon Cartoons Studios for the 1988 movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" (top). Ren-Mar Studios is the former Desilu Studios where "I Love Lucy" was taped.

Invader is making space invader with cartoon characters at the moment for its invasions in New York, London and also in Paris. Bugs Bunny is a funny animal cartoon character, best known for his starring roles in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of theatrical short films produced by Warner Bros. during the Golden age of American animation. His popularity during this era led to his becoming a cultural icon, as well as a corporate mascot of Warner Bros. Entertainment.

I've recently discovered the joy of buying used books through Amazon.com.
"Who Censored Roger Rabbit?" by Gary Wolf is the book that the movie about the framing of Roger Rabbit was based upon. In the book, the 'toons are comic strip instead of animated cartoon characters and speech bubbles appear in the air when they speak. Jessica Rabbit is also described as a former 'toon porn star.
"Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers" by Jane Jensen is a book based on the adventure game with the same title, designed by the same author. All of the quotations on the cover are from reviews of the game, not the novel. The reviews on Amazon were quite good, however. I'm sort of afraid to read the novel because I still haven't finished the game.
"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams is, unlike the previous two, still in print, but the recent editions have cover art designed to promote last year's movie. About a year ago I loaned my original copy of the book to somebody who re-loaned it to somebody else shortly before leaving the country; since then I had given up hope of ever getting it back. After buying the previous two books it occurred to me I could probably find a copy of the same edition as my original. I did, and it arrived today! I once again have a copy of the book which matches the other editions I own in the inaccurately named Hitchhiker's Trilogy.
