Posted for the Jules Photo Challenge for January 2017.
The challenge is to post 5 things you love about yourself & 2 things you dislike about yourself during the 22nd to the 28th.
Another like. A bit like Peter Pan, I enjoy trying to stay connected to my inner child. Things shouldn't be serious all the time.
(when I moved desks I had packed away many of my toys I'd had in my toy area. Someone in the office felt a need to bring that back to the desk, and I thank them. Broken toys show up from time to time and they are given a new role in mini sets.)

When Bob and I were wandering the Plaza District on a Sunday back in September in 2019, we ran into Amanda. She was out for a jog but paused long enough for a few photos of her and her fandom sleeve tattoo.
Just a couple of looney 'toons.

My purchases. Who Framed Roger Rabbit 30th Anniversary pin. Boxed jumbo pin (LE 1500, $54.99). It features Jessica Rabbit hugging Roger Rabbit, and various Disney characters surrounding them.
I visited Disneyland today. It was partly cloudy, 80 F, and very crowded.
I got some Channel 28 LE pins, that were left over from the Disneyland Pin Event of August 23, 2018. One was a Channel 28 Walt Disney Spinner, with Walt on a an old fashioned TV screen (LE 1000, $16.99). Next is the Wonderful World of Disney Box Set (LE 500, $74.99). The four pins have Tinker Bell in front of a TV with images representing four main lands of Disneyland - Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Frontierland and Adventureland. The names of the lands are on charms dangling from the main pin. Finally the Mini Jumbo Walt Box Set (LE 500, $119.00). Three pins with images from Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Disney. One is pin on pin with Tinker Bell over an image of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The pins are about 2 1/2'' W x 2 1/4'' H.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a 1988 American fantasy comedy film directed by Robert Zemeckis, produced by Frank Marshall and Robert Watts, and written by Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman. The film is based on Gary K. Wolf's 1981 novel Who Censored Roger Rabbit?. The film stars Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Charles Fleischer, Stubby Kaye, and Joanna Cassidy. Combining live-action and animation, the film is set in Hollywood during the late 1940s in an alternative timeline where animated characters really exist. The story follows Eddie Valiant, a private detective who must exonerate "Toon" Roger Rabbit, who is accused of murdering a wealthy businessman.
Walt Disney Pictures purchased the film rights for Who Framed Roger Rabbit's story in 1981. Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman wrote two drafts of the script before Disney brought in executive producer Steven Spielberg, and his production company, Amblin Entertainment. Zemeckis was brought on to direct the film, and Canadian animator Richard Williams was hired to supervise the animation sequences. Production was moved from Los Angeles to Elstree Studios in England to accommodate Williams and his group of animators. While filming, the production budget began to rapidly expand and the shooting schedule ran longer than expected.
Disney released the film through its Touchstone Pictures division on June 22, 1988, to critical and commercial success, becoming a blockbuster. The film brought a renewed interest in the Golden Age of American animation, spearheading modern American animation and the Disney Renaissance.

The 1980s section of Disney's Pop Century Resort is located between the 1970s and the 1990s sections, naturally, and offers guests a bit longer of a walk to Classic Hall than other areas of the resort, especially when compared to the 1950s or 1960s sections.
The giant icons in the section include Roger Rabbit, a Rubik's Cube, and a giant Walkman. Who remembers those? Kids will get a kick out of these, especially when you try to explain what a Walkman was used for. The buildings in this section feature 80's words like "Yuppies" and "Fer Shure" Remember those Valley Girls? Like, totally!
