From the V serie
V: The Series was a one-hour weekly television series that aired in the United States on NBC in 1984-85. It was a continuation of the science fiction franchise about an alien invasion of Earth by a carnivorous race of reptilians known as The Visitors which was originally conceived by American writer, producer and director Kenneth Johnson. Johnson, however, was not involved in the production of the weekly series.
Following directly on from V: The Final Battle mini-series, the alien Diana escapes from her captured mothership in a shuttle but is pursued by Donovan. The two engage in combat in the atmosphere, and Donovan successfully shoots her down and, after a short fight, captures her.
One year after the day when the Red Dust was deployed, now the international holiday called "Liberation Day", the former members of the Resistance and their Fifth Column allies have gone their separate ways and are each looking forward to prosperous careers and bright futures. When Diana is finally put on trial for the atrocities she committed during the First Invasion, Science Frontiers, the company responsible for mass production of the Red Dust, at the behest of its CEO Nathan Bates, arranged for Ham Tyler and his security firm to publicly "assassinate" Diana on her way to the trial by shooting her and take her to a secret cabin in the woods outside L.A. After this is done, Nathan offers Diana better accommodations in exchange for helping to solving problems such as disease and environmental failure on Earth by providing Visitor technological information.

As a test run for my first tryout of Mecabricks, here's a retro rocketcraft design based upon an original build from Nathan Proudlove, who provided its instructions created by Tyler Clites in this Flickr album linked below:

You can view and tinker with the 3D recreation of his build at Mecabricks as linked below:

A little something I made for Pley.com, which just last week started getting rented as a set.
Nick T. suggested writing up a collab standard for it, make it the next micro moonbase. Might get around to it if anybody shows any interest.
An elegant Decopunk style car based on Art Deco with aggressive shapes and sinister touchs. The name Erebus comes from Erebos, the primordial god of darkness in the Greek mythology.
Never mind the infallible precision radar guidance you'd need to land a freaking space rocket in an interior hangar accessible through a door barely wider than the rocket itself, interior hangars are cool. I was quite happy with the microscale retro-style rocket, but felt like it needed something more to complete the build; thus the hangar and port facility.

The Volkswagen New Beetle is a compact car, introduced by Volkswagen in 1997, drawing heavy inspiration from the exterior design of the original Beetle. Unlike the original Beetle, the New Beetle has its engine in the front, driving the front wheels, with luggage storage in the rear.
At the 1994 North American International Auto Show, Volkswagen unveiled the Concept One, a "retro"-themed concept car with a resemblance to the original Volkswagen Beetle. Designed by J Mays and Freeman Thomas at the company's California design studio. the concept car was based on the platform of the Volkswagen Polo. A red cabriolet concept was featured at the Geneva Motor Show, also in 1994.
Strong public reaction to the Concept One convinced the company that it should develop a production version which was launched as the New Beetle in 1997 for the 1998 model-year, based on the Golf IV's larger PQ34 platform. The New Beetle is related to the original only in name and appearance (including the absence of a car emblem script with the exception of the VW logo). For the 1998 model year, only the TDI compression-ignition engine was turbocharged; the spark-ignition engines were only naturally aspirated. In June 1999, Volkswagen introduced the 1.8T, which was the first turbocharged spark-ignition engine offered for the New Beetle. Volkswagen created a web site dedicated specifically to the 1.8T. A convertible was added for the 2003 model-year to replace the Volkswagen Cabrio. However, the New Beetle Convertible was never offered with a compression-ignition engine in North America. The third-generation Beetle Convertible, the successor to the New Beetle Convertible, was offered with the TDI compression-ignition engine in the USA but not in Canada, though, making it possibly the only diesel convertible car offered in North America.
The New Beetle carries many design similarities with the original VW Beetle: separate fenders, vestigial running boards, sloping headlamps, and large round taillights, as well as a high rounded roofline.

Most sources cite "steampunk" being coined by K. W. Jeter, who sought a unique name for retrofuturism. This is future technology illustrated and/or depicted in earlier times. In the steampunk universe; the older society develops and produces future technology. Think of this as "history that never was".
But, it was the literary genius of Jules Verne and the artistry of Walt Disney Studios that introduced millions of viewers to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The story blends post American Civil War society with pseudo-Victorian overtones. The work evolved into an imaginative infusion of sci-fi and reality. * I recently read views "insisting" this literature is "Proto - steampunk". And the story is appropriate to the postbellum era. Personally speaking, my time is better spent enjoying steampunk as entertainment.
Perhaps Captain Nemo's most intriguing invention was the underwater backpack "breathing apparatus". Divers could walk on the ocean floor, harvest seafood and explore sunken ruins. No place on earth was denied to humanity. This is the resounding theme of Steampunk; "Deny the impossible", a condition or "state of being" waiting to be recognized, understood and changed into reality".
About this photo: Two divers converse in the Town Square opposite the Town Hall. Their suits and diving gear are extraordinary examples of steampunk art. This is a fun and creative interpretation seafaring sci-fi.

Rocco Siffredi (born 4 May 1964) is the stage name of an Italian pornographic actor, director and producer of pornographic movies. As of 2005, he has starred in more than 1,300 pornographic films. He changed his surname from "Tano" to "Siffredi" because some of his brothers strongly opposed his porn star career and did not want to be associated with him. He changed his name out of respect for his brothers.
Siffredi's screen name was reportedly inspired by a character from the movie Borsalino (1970), "Roch Siffredi", played by Alain Delon. He is also known as the "Italian Stallion", a reference to his penis size. He was also one of the first major uncircumcised porn actors.
