words can't describe the transformation of this classic.
This handsome dark and brooding figure is a ’69 Mustang Boss 302 that’s been hit with the Shakotan stick.
A clean and low stance coupled with an outboard hi pass oil cooler suggest one might want to think twice before messing with The Boss.
I hope you enjoy!

Squinting and Streamlining
(A bit about renders and buildability)
When I was little, playing with my bricks and building my own home-made creations, I’d often squint my eyes when looking at my models, so that what I could see would better fit what was in originally in my imagination. Because my bricks were the wrong colour, because I didn’t have two of a particular part, or because of studs situated in annoying places breaking up the shape,.
Squinting streamlined these failings; filled in the gaps.
So now I don’t have to do that any more.
Within reason I could put little rivets on every piece or add pores to a mini-figure’s skin
~
Obviously that would be too much, but right now I’m really enjoying the ‘digital squint' that working virtually allows—the little cheats here and there I can do to really build the thing I can see in my mind's eye. The body-filler, the paintjob and the polish.
So I know renders aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, and I get that. But for me the satisfaction of making something look über-swooshable - even if if I’ve filed off a stud or two, added a bit of paint or decals and coloured parts in hues not available in the real world—is huge, and I hope, even if it’s a bit off-base for the purists—that my builds are worth sharing with you and talking about - for good or for bad.
And yes, those engines are Scala pots.

Another build-off between PleaseYesPlease and me. Imagine this has a turbocharged straight five under the oh-so-hard to build bonnet...
I found this in my photostream and realised I had never made it public.
@Legomasino made the cross-country journey to Cars & Coffee this weekend to take delivery of his new Restomod Z. Some west coast vibes, a few cups of black gold and the downright frightening snarl emanating from this beast made for a great day indeed. Cheers, Legomasino! Beard Goals!!!!
