One of my original designs. Colors were rejected internally in favor of more conservative "royal blue and white".
Fujifilm X-Pro2, Nikkor 55mm f1.2. All shot wide open at f1.2, which gives a very soft and dreamy look. Character!. Processed in Capture One with the Film is Fun Ektar 100 style.
Not really rejected per-se, I just did two different roughs for my last Illustration 3 project and this is the one I decided not to do. There is a little warp to it because of my camera and because it isn't lying flat (my desk is way to small to accommodate a lot of my drawings cuz I tend to draw large.) , so her body is a little more elongated. This is an allegory to the roaring twenties and to the depression. (I chose to do an allegory to the Progressive Era)
It is about 11.5x14.5 inches on semi-translucent marker paper, drawn with red and blue col-erase (for a rough). For pencil roughs and finals, I try not to work less than 11x14 because I like details and it's harder to get detail the smaller I go.
Also, u can see the debris on my desk! The Office, FTW!
