Haven't posted one of these for a while..
Another enjoyable lunch by the harbour, under a warm winter sun.
And the water was just right for reflection pics.
So ...
Its not about what is on the outside it is about who your character is and what your heart is like on the inside.

“The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.”
~ Thomas Merton

I dive into the future, but I'm blinded by the sun.
Im reborn in every moment, so who knows what i'll become
Reflection
In the past few days I have been thinking about how our past reflect our future. Even though you think not but your growing and learning from your primary family, you are still bringing roots.. We are reflection of our thoughts, behavior and body language.
When you find your passion, you act differently and you are becoming your own identity.

So, I thought of taking this car for a spin, but decided against it. Perhaps it was the pit bull that stood on the other end. ;) (And no, you cannot find me in the reflection... what fun would that be?) :o
This week's challenge was reflection and I was inspired by another photo I saw online and decided to interpret it with my own background. Have a great week!
On one hand I'm carrying maple covered cashews yummmm

Some advice on how I should crop this??
This long-legged, S-necked white bird is found throughout the Americas and around much of the world. It is typically the largest white egret occurring anywhere in its range (only the white-colored form of the great blue heron is larger).
Great egrets are found near water, salt or fresh, and feed in wetlands, streams, ponds, tidal flats, and other areas. They snare prey by walking slowly or standing still for long periods, waiting for an animal to come within range of their long necks and blade-like bills. The deathblow is delivered with a quick thrust of the sharp bill, and the prey is swallowed whole. Fish are a dietary staple, but great egrets use similar techniques to eat amphibians, reptiles, mice, and other small animals.
The reflections between the parallel pieces of marble make some of the background look transparent.

When I look at this I think of the many photo "sessions" and dozens of photos before I finally got the shot I wanted

Reflections of Upper West Side buildings in central park reservoir. Low angle version of a similar photograph I posted earlier.
This shot was hard with the camera almost touching the water with no idea what I am shooting at. I need a swiveling screen now. Please, Canon...
When you don't get out & you have an addiction do you:
a) get withdrawal symptoms
b) go mad
c) filter through your archive
This is another "c" photo & I hope it works.
Given I am likely to be delusional & quite possibly therefore fall into "b", I hope Reflection In Colour self explanatory ; )
BTW, there a tad of post processing going on here. Converting pavers, etc into B&W, colour accentuation in the reflection, croping, etc
If you have time, please take a look at my earlier more normal Luna Park photo, which was taken on the same evening.
