AMERSFOORT, 27-10-2020 ,Dierenpark Amersfoort Dutchnews, Halloween treat for the animals in Amersfoort Animal Park
The elephants, tigers and prairie dogs in Amersfoort Animal Park discovered an eerie surprise in their enclosure today. “Halloween is just around the corner and that means there are plenty of pumpkins harvested. This offers a great opportunity to surprise our animal residents with this "creepy vegetable", "says Team Leader Willem Verdonck.
Each species reacts differently to the striking orange fruits. “The Siberian tigers crept right up to the pumpkins to devour them with skin and hair. The herd of elephants took a careful look, after which the animals crushed the nutmeg pumpkins with their enormous legs, ”Willem explains. "The prairie dogs were just a little shocked when they discovered the spooky-faced pumpkins in their enclosure," jokes the zookeeper. “We had hidden hay and fruit in the hollowed-out pumpkins for these animals. After studying the pumpkins from a distance, they came to sniff carefully and then threw themselves on all the goodies with the whole group. ”
The pumpkins are given a beautiful destination in the Amersfoort zoo. “Previously they showed off as autumn decoration in the window of vegetable supplier Smeding Groenten en Fruit, now it is a nice surprise for the elephants, tigers and prairie dogs,” says Willem. In addition to the animal inhabitants, visitors also come across pumpkins; not for food, but as a suitable Halloween decoration during their autumn visit to Amersfoort Zoo.

So I wrote a book and based pretty much every character off real people. The things they said... many of the stories... real. This book reviewer does not seem to have any idea.
