I've been wanting a dog for ages and there are so many doggies here in Bondi that I said to my friend Wendy yesterday - theres no need for me to get one as I come out the door and am surrounded by them. I get all the joy without the doggie scooper . These two little mischief makers captured me this evening. Their owner had to come and rescue them from his three sons who he told me wear these little puggies out constantly. Notice that weary terrified look on their faces from all the exercise ? ...

Lola is 4 yrs. old and one of the cutest pugs I've ever seen. She's a bundle of energy and a big kisser. I caught her here in a moment of stillness. And no, she's not sad... it's just the expression I like the best in a pic. I've got other pics of her smiling like the cheshire cat.

Wanda came to visit me over the holidays; she's kept me great company. She was trying to sleep, naturally, as Pugs like to do, then here I come along trying to get cute images of her for Flickr. She just stared and stared at me as I let the shutter roll.
She has this miniature "sleeping bag" that her owner had made for her. She crawls inside and drapes the top over herself for added warmth, and off to sleep she goes - gently snoring.
Now I ask you: isn't she just too damned adorable for words? Yes, she's a spoiled b***h.

This is Otto. He's a tater tot, if you can't tell from the photo. He's a funny little man, with a solitary white whisker. I met his mom here on flickr years ago - and when I moved to Portland I realized she lived here - and we took our pug-brigade to the dog park together. Pugs being pugs, they ignored each other and wanted attention from people. Oh well.
