Thousands gathered in Franklin Park for a vigil to raise awareness for Black transgender rights and to raise money for the Transgender Emergency Fund of Massachusetts which helps low income and homeless transgender people across the state. The group also spoke out against the Trump administration's recent decision to get rid of transgender protections in health care regulated by the Affordable Care Act. Protesters marched to Nubian Square. The demonstration was organized by Trans Resistance of Massachusetts.

The annual BHAA Government Services/Social Protection Group's 5 Mile Road Race took place on Tuesday 28th May 2013 at 20:00 in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, Ireland. The course is a fast flat course which begins on the Dunboyne-Maynooth Road between the two entrances to Dunboyne Castle Estate. The race then proceeds in an anti-clockwise direction back to the Dunboyne Athletic Club on the Rooske Road in Dunboyne. The race reaches higher standards with every passing year. Paul Gorey and his team of volunteers must be given great credit for putting on such a wonderful race event. Thanks are also extended to Dunboyne Athletic Club, the BHAA, and the local community who all make this possible.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: There were approximately 500 participants .
Weather: A bright sunny evening with little breeze
Course: This course is fully left handed with very little in the way of inclines. Good road surface. These are nice narrow country roads with shelter provided by mature hedgerows. This year the race finished with 3/4 of a lap of the Dunboyne AC track.
Refreshments: Lots and lots as is the tradition with BHAA Events - served outside the scouts hall at the track.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. A girl in conflict with the law lays on the floor inside a cell at the Children Protection Brigade Center. Children waiting for trial or to be interviewed at the Center stay in a small cell for days before being released. Due to these difficult conditions, UNICEF has planned to build a new center respecting the Children Rights Convention to offer better conditions for the children. The new center will be open by year's end, as the second phase of a bigger project that also includes the construction of af building for interviews that was inaugurated today.

This project is entering its 2nd full year of growing. Water from this property drains into the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia. The slope was converted to a conservation landscape and uses several types of grasses: Pink muhly grass, little bluestem, and purple love grass as well as drought tolerant low maintenance perennials such as moss phlox and bluestar flower to slow the flow of water down the slope. Water that runs off of the pavement is directed into the new rain garden designed and installed by the Sherwood high school students under the direction of Horticulture teacher Jill Coutts.
