TAKKAN MELAYU HILANG DI DUNIA
(KRU)
Gemainya tari seni diwarisi
Zaman berzaman gemilang
Teruna dan dara adat di mahkota
Takkan Melayu hilang di dunia
Anak jati bertandang di negeri orang
Biar berhujan emas
Hujan batu kita lebih sejahtera
Takkan Melayu hilang di dunia
Pusaka budaya khazanah berharga
Janganlah dipersia
Wahai anak watan diwasiatkan
Pertahan kedaulatan bangsa
Arus perubahan oh kuasa tuhan
Kejar hajat di jiwa
Namun peganglah kata wira laksamana
Takkan melayu hilang didunia
Prof John Homer Beaman, formerly in Michigan State University, East Lansing.
Prof Beaman was Fullbright Visiting Prof in UKM Sabah Campus in 1983 when I was busy setting up the Herbarium and my major Professor (Supervisor) when I was in East Lansing for my PhD proigram. I was Prof Beamn last registered PhD student in MSU. He left MSU to Kew to write his multi-volumes monumental masterpieces, the Flora of Mount Kinabalu.
Prof Beaman is seen here signing a specioal copy of his book for me in Kota Kinabalu in 2004. He is now back to Lansing, Michigan.
I generally do not do portraits....this is an exception, of a friend @ home. Was a opportunist so naturally posed.
This work is the property of the master Antonio Giorgio Gaggia
