Doug Ford is the premier of Ontario. He has proven electable, but not much of an intellect. Once in power, has no idea what to do with it. It is unfair to insult his waistline, but legitimate to object to his government.
Despite all the political meetings all over the world, abuses of all kind, war and violence still are the order of the day......
Do we actually learn from history?

Famous, amongst other things, for saying "The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera."
It might just be me, but I can't help thinking that hands and faces of the two subjects featured here have a lot to say about the times in which the 'two' photographs were taken.
A left party political rally, it shows all the typical elements; billboards with inflammatory inaccurate information, street vendors selling propaganda and other stuff. Most of the people attending the event have little idea about what they are protesting.
Nepal Photo Blog 28/02/11
I woke up this morning to the news that Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) had directed workers to prepare for a revolt.
www.thehimalayantimes.com/rssReference.php?headline=Facto...
The consitution is due (again) on 28 May and basically Prachanda has said that if the right wing parties continue blocking the process and that the Seven Point plan is not seen through, then revolution will be the result.
Events in North Africa are no doubt helping fuel this thinking but since the end of the People's War in 2006, Nepal has stalled, corruption has increased, the country is in a bad way...
I sit here slightly incredulous at the situation. As western tourists tread along the trekking trails, blissfully unaware of the real situation...and the local people deal with a fragmented "government", electricity cuts get longer, tensions are rising...
There is a saying here "What to do?"
What to do, Kathmandu?
Thanks for looking. This image is part of a photo blog looking at the relationships between politics, people and the environment. I must stress that neither myself or www.wildtiger.org have any political allegiance, we are looking at things as they are, purely from a conservation standpoint, with our eyes open.

the only thing wrong with this shot is the politics that goes on behind the walls of wallasey town hall, everything else is just fine n dandy, nature dont need an expensive staircase. taken from egremont, wallasey wirral, overlooking the river mersey towards liverpools waterfront, uk.

I came across this poster at a subway station today.
Oh boyd! I can just picture this message is open to great debates about inclusion, diversity, racism, stereotyping, political correctness, political incorrectness, cultural convenience, multi-culturalism vs. melting-pot, maintaining one's heritage vs. “fitting in” to a new culture.
Then spell-checking, auto-correction and machine learning is a whole other new frontier on the human (and machine?) mind, mentality and behaviour.
'What would be the democratic fallacy program of Ouroboros between Guelphs and Ghibellines (red or blue)?'
As you can see i used a coke bottle to represent power because everyone knows cola like they know politics. I then used the fire picture i took so show the confusion and how corrupt this world is. But then on the other side it is a Migrant man who is risking his life with his children in his arms for a better life.
The coke represents politics involved in economics and the migrant man representing morals and wanting a better life.
I try to stay politically neutral on Flickr (and online, for that matter), so this all I have to say about that...
My country's politics are excruciating ! Ouch !!

On Friday the Finkel Review into the future of the electricity market was released. Thus continuing the poisonous debate on energy and climate change. Politics! HMM

David Eby swan sworn in as premier of British Columbia on Nov. 18, 2022
Elections BC has approved a recall petition against Vancouver-Point Grey MLA and Premier David Eby by political campaigner Salvatore Vetro.
Spurred by a collapsing health-care system, Vetro must collect signatures from 40 per cent or more of the voters eligible to sign the petition, or 16,449 voters in Eby’s riding, to remove the premier.

Gotta love grassroots movements. These signs are a not too surprising expression of anti oil tanker and pipeline views coming from a people who rely on the ocean for their food, livelihood and way of life.
There were signs of all kinds in every settlement on Graham Island but this collection in Old Massett was the most interesting with the touches of humour.

I was a total political junkie. Its utter predictability has worn me thin though. To hear even five words out of the mouth of the opposing party sends me into a frenzy. I just had to turn it OFF.
That said, Washington DC is a pretty freakin cool place.

Dear Nations of the world,
Ukraine thinks that the best way to solve this conflict is without blood shed and to solve it as the modern age we are. With this Ukraine would like to host a meeting for all Nations to attend in which we will discuss these current issues. I strongly encourage all who can attend to attend so that as a world we can figure this political and territorial situation out. It doe's not matter your race, alliances, culture, or political governing style all will have an equal say in the discussions."
Hello LMG players. I would like to host a skype call meeting to discuss the current status of the world. This will still be under LMG so everyone in the call should attend as the role there political figure would have. Also personally I'm a little confused right now so it'll help me and others straiten things out. Also I think it would be SUPER cool if we could "reenact" these political meetings instead of just making it up on the fly. It would add a whole new coolness level to the group! I know that some people have limitations with talking over skype and if so you can be added and mute your self while you listen in on the talks and reply with messaging instead of talking. This will be the same as LMG hate rules too and hopefully no one will hold grudges because this is strictly just make belief stuff guys. Anyway if you do not have skype this will be accounted for we will have a scribe (most likely me) who will take notes in the call(s) and can have them shot to you via FM. If you want to take part in this call FM me and I'll shot you my skype Name and then depending on the turn out we can set up a day to do this on. I think it would be sooooooo cool!
Signed,
Sir William
