Shingle Plant (Monstera sp). This plant develops some of the largest leaves one can find in the rainforest. Pipeline Road, Panama
Some pot plant off Baker Street, taken on my initial outing with the 500n.
Not much else of note really, more of a test of the DoF with the 50mm.
Actually, a "claim to fame" is that the building in the background (white levels) is the coffee shop form that awful "Go Compare" advert where the Opera singer made his 'début' for the company. Its on Baker Street, make sure you show your disgust with the owner for allowing that abomination to be filmed in his establishment.

Lamsoor, in Dutch.
A photo I took in August, in the Slufter valley, a salt marsh on the island of Texel. This plant blooms in late summer and gives the entire area a beautiful lilac color.
Texel, the Netherlands.
When I was a little kid, Lily of the Valley and Bleeding Hearts grew all over in Halifax on my Grandparent's land. I thought they were so cool. I don't see much of them anymore. A great friend of mine sent me this plant to my work and I love it!

the state 'flower' of North Carolina... but the things people assume are petals are actually bracts! its familiar genus has now been 'split'
I don't know what kind of tree or shrub this was, but it had these funny caterpillar like thingies all over.
From North Creek Park, Snohomish County, WA. Peat bog area.
This window belongs to a rundown old house belonging to the church, so I thought I would brighten it up with a few plants
I finally got out for a nice walk with my camera last night. What a beautiful evening! So much to enjoy and photograph too!

Only just noticed these! Seed pods on the top of last year's Acanthus flower that I haven't pruned off yet.
This plant is hidden beneath the shade of another one of the large tree/bush things in the garden. After cutting back the huge bush we found this was flowering beneath it
ID: Skimmia japonica
Crazy office plant, can you identify it? Is it supposed to look half dead?
Update: identified as a messy Silver Squill (Ledebouria socialis) by Tiggrx, thanks! www.flickr.com/photos/sarahmcgill/4072328785/comment72157...

shucks, I think I uploaded the wrong one.
Oh well. You will all have to settle for this sub-par version of the poor little plant.
Because deleting and reloading would make things out of order.
And that would hurt my soul.
mating pair...not an easy task to get into position if you got 6 long legs to manipulate and another 6 of hers.

Took these shots at a small abandoned and overgrown water treatment plant in Sykesville that is about a 15 minute walk from my house, but I never knew it.
On the grounds were 3 different control room buildings, one large greenhouse, and four water tanks of different sizes.
I went with a friend who had only had about a half hour to explore, so I was rushing to get these shots, and didn't see everything I wanted.
