AAW Dec. 9 - 16: Long Exposure

WIT: Looking at this plant, I tried a 3-second exposure, and did a bit of ICM, and got this result.

The plant life around Blackford Pond reflects on the water.

Inktober 2020 28

Poem by Tom Lee

I’m being very careful

And I don’t venture very far

I’ve done a little shopping

But I’ve not been to a bar

I was getting ‘Cabin Fever’

By staying in you see

Then I thought of Mail Order

And I’ve got myself a tree

I have ‘help’ with the planting

With the robin, dog and cat

You ask the tree’s variety?

I can help you, sure, with that

It’s a plum tree called ‘Victoria’

It’s fruit is red and sweet

But it will take a year or two

Before they’re fit to eat

Then I’ll have a lovely harvest

Once that year or two’s gone by

I can eat them fresh, or bottle them

Or cook them in a pie

Or I may prefer a crumble….

Former power plant, which operated from 1911-2001

Loved this plant. Growing outside our hotel in Tucson.

One of the three photos I took for "Grow." The project was to have a plant, the word grow, and that quote. This one's my favorite of the three :)

Strobist Info: Sb800 through umbrella to camera right and above. Sb800 to camera left behind the model, snooted and pointed at the poster board backdrop. Triggered with Nikon CLS.

"Explore" front page! yes! Thank you everyone! :)

Fun Fact: The "dirt" is a brownie. I just grabbed the closest thing to support the plant. I wasn't planning on having it visible in this shot!

Plant Monster thought it would be fun to visit Jurassic World - he was wrong :-)
