Aeonium haworthii (Haworth's aeonium, pinwheel) is a species of succulent flowering plant in the family Crassulaceae. It is native to the Canary Islands, but it has been introduced to other areas of similar climate, such as Southern California. It is a sand-dwelling beach plant, a subshrub with rough, woody stems and rosettes of thick, red-edged green leaves which are triangular or diamond- or spade-shaped. It grows to 60 cm, with panicles of cream-colored pointed flowers produced in spring. In temperate regions Aeonium haworthii is grown as a houseplant.

Zielone "różyczki" oglądane na Teneryfie. Było tam mnóstwo takich roślin i bardzo mi się one podobały. Te fotografowałam na poboczu drogi :)

Aeonium haworthii (eonium) to roślina należąca do sukulentów z rodziny gruboszowatych (Crassulaceae).

Ya gotta get to the Dr. Office on time.... but then, when you do, you rarely get to see the doctor for at least a half an hour (or longer). On this instance I was shuffled around to three different rooms while waiting to see my Opthamologist.... one room had this plant in a corner, and our of boredom took some shots with my P&S and then came home and did some photoshopping.

Careful...

I couldn't help but get the feeling, these guys would attack if I so much as turned to look the other way.....

Thanks to carlene and héloïsenaturaliste for the identification. It is not in our yard, which is fortunate, because it can be a pest. Taken by Edgar.

A light painted bubble plant, in Brisbane’s Banks Street Reserve. Inspired by some recent light painting photography by Jason D. Page. Bubbles created using a LPB Plexiglass Circle. Plant created using a LPB Green Light Pen. Both tools connected via LPB Universal Connectors to Thorfire TK15S flashlights (on low mode). Ambient light from the full moon. f/5.6, 92secs, ISO800. Post processed from RAW exposure in Lightroom 6.

Carnivorous plants can flower. I found this very interesting because the flowers are pretty, tall, and oh so stinky! The stink keeps the pollinators away from the deadly pitchers. Cool, right?!

Every week a new challenge to find something to make a good photo for the actual theme of macro Monday. Usually Monday morning until Tuesday, I look several times a day the new photos, the creative solutions, like some of them, post comments or add them to my Macro Monday’s gallery. And of course, If possible, I look for the tag of the week, restrict it by date to last Tuesday during the weekend

From Tuesday late afternoon, I ponder the new theme, try some different ideas, start to make some photos, post one to four pictures at flicker and finally post one of them on Monday in the Macro Mondays group. Typically, I start late Friday to Sunday, sometimes Monday to take pictures and post them here

Anyway broken, broken glass, Spider app, was my first idea. Still have some broken egg shells in the kitchen same as dried Edamame Finally, I settled to four photos this time in BW.

The first one Is broken wood stick, diameter approx. 8 mm, normally used for holding plants. The second one are two flower petal. One of them, there are two parts, the other one is only one. The next pictures are of dried figs, they are not that dry. But neither flower petal nor figs give great twisted lines. Here they are, the broken, twisted, shattered textures of the fracture.

Less than 4 hours, before the first picture are posted into the group, the first fifty or so candidates are already only, HMM

Feel free to leave comments and constructive feedback. No P1/C1 or seen in group and similar.
