Fruit of London plane (Platanus acerifolia) tree, or actually a ball of smallish fruits.
Owoc platanu klonolistnego (Platanus acerifolia), a dokładniej kula drobnych owocków.
A ponte medieval de Ponte de Lima, sobre o rio Lima, é uma estrutura que combina elementos romanos e medievais. Resultado de reconstruções realizadas nos séculos XIV e XV, preserva trechos da via romana que ligava Bracara Augusta a Asturica Augusta. À esquerda, uma escultura ilustra a lenda do rio Lethes, onde soldados romanos hesitavam em atravessar, temendo perder a memória, até que o general Décimo Júnio Bruto cruzou primeiro e os chamou pelo nome para mostrar que nada se alterara. Este monumento (a ponte), que data do século I e está associado à Via XIX de César Augusto, foi uma via vital de comunicação entre Braga e Astorga, e simboliza a importância estratégica da vila de Ponte de Lima, a mais antiga de Portugal. A ponte, com os seus característicos arcos, destaca-se numa paisagem primaveril, rodeada por plátanos nas margens verdejantes, fazendo parte da rota portuguesa do Caminho de Santiago.

At this point the River Lea (a major tributary of the Thames, flowing from left to right) divides into the River Lee Navigation (foreground) and the Old River Lea (beyond the red floats). The latter, presumably following an old course of the river, seems to now be used as an overflow from the navigable river; beyond the floats it goes through a weir with raisable barriers.
Both spellings (Lea and Lee) seem to be used interchangeably; in this case I am simply using the spellings for these specific channels as used on maps, however I usually use Lea purely out of personal preference.
En passant sous cette petite passerelle au nom d'un illustre artiste d'origine biélorusse (et naturalisé français), petite vue sur un ancien bâtiment du port de la ville reconverti en médiathèque depuis. Le quartier a beaucoup changé en 20 ans mais de nombreux bâtiments eu droit à une seconde jeunesse.

The Diarizos Valley lies west to south west of the Troodos mountain range and takes its name from the river Diarizos which runs through it. This valley has a wide variety of fauna and flora, with a number of protected species.
The Troodos National Forest Park covers an area of 9,147 hectares around Mount Olympus. It is an area of great natural beauty, suitable for activities such as hiking, biking and camping .
Cyprus has the warmest climate and warmest winters in the Mediterranean part of the European Union.
Nipped over to the car park in the late afternoon for something for today.
As the weather has been gorgeous we've spent a lot of time out in the garden and trying to teach Izzy that it's fun out there.

In my country we call this tree platana, on English language it is platanus, I use word platana in my Croatian language because of rhyme in my title so it sounds better I think ;D. Platanus tree remind me of childhood, I think platanus have interesting seeds (small balls). I made this photo in city Šibenik with my Italian friend Luigi. You can check his gallery here

platana (latinski platanus < grčki πλάτανος, prema πλατύς: širok) (Platanus), rod pretežno listopadnoga krupnog drveća iz porodice platana (Platanaceae). Obuhvaća 6 ili 7 vrsta raširenih od jugoist. Europe do Indije i na području Sjeverne Amerike. Kora debla je svijetla, maslinastosiva, ljušti se u ovećim i tankim ljuskama. Lišće je naizmjenično jednostavno, veliko, dlanasto-ražnjasto. Plodovi su sitni, obrnuto čunjasti, suhi, pri osnovi dlakavi. Istočna platana (Platanus orientalis) drvo je iz područja ist. Sredozemlja i susjednih krajeva sr. Azije i Indije. Stablo je visoko do 40 m, lišće je dugo i široko 10 do 20 cm s 5 do 7 oštrih režnjeva. Platana raste vrlo brzo, obično se obnavlja iz panjeva i širi se plodovima koje raznosi vjetar. Vrlo je cijenjena vrsta šumskoga drveća zbog brza rasta, obilne sjene i ljepote. U SAD-u je raširena američka platana (P. occidentalis). Stablo doseže visinu od 35 m, grane su uspravne, lišće ima pliće režnjeve. Otpornija je na zimu od istočne platane, pa se može uzgajati i sjevernije. U Europi se rijetko uzgaja kao ukrasno drvo. Nije osjetljiva na ispušne plinove i gradsku prašinu.

The church of Sta. Maria de Merlès seen at the end of a plane tree "tunnel". My late father painted this very scene long ago as an oil painting, and also made a lithography, of which we had one at home.
