Quite a rosette of basal pitchers, with one flower, not yet open. A few were already opening at another site.

My first fieldtrip to Shaken Creek Preserve owned by The Nature Conservancy located near Maple Hill, NC. There was about 25 people who attended. We visited two sites and saw many great plants..
Funny that these carnivorous pitcher plants just off a trail that I bike several time a week were pointed out to me by a couple of tourists from Michigan.
