I took a fun trip with my boyfriend to Griffith Park for my birthday. When we were there, we came across this cool periodic table which has all the elements contained inside of it in it's raw form.
Here are prints of small test plates (bluish ink on white BFK) and a test of the final plate (blackish ink on Somerset newsprint gray). "Thulium" was named for Thule, which is an ancient place-name for a northernmost place that referred to Scandanavia, Greenland or Iceland (before we could fly over and see they were all different land masses). I've done a photopolymer etching (solarplate) of an image I drew in Illustrator, plus some work directly onto the transparency and drypoint etching after the plates were exposed.
