After participating with my son at the start of his soccer practise he developed an Oscar-worthy limp and claimed he couldn't continue as they began drills. Believing I was a possible enabler, I left for 20 minutes. Zipped up the hill and took this shot. It's ok - at least I thought the sky interesting. Anyway, when I returned, he was dashing around, injury-free! ;-)

I just finished participating in November 16th's Macro Mondays challenge, "Keyhole," where I viewed and commented on multiple hundreds of images of orphaned keyholes (there were no keys allowed). This left me feeling a bit unsettled. Locks and keys go together like peanut butter and jelly; love and marraige, a horse and carriage... (you know the song). So, I felt compelled to create an image of a complete lock/key combination so I could go back to being able to sleep at night.
Strobist/technical info:
The lock was staged on a piece of glass with a black fabric background. Two Nikon SB900 speedlights were placed 90-degress CL and CR, 18" away and 24" above subject, pointing down at 45-degree angles. They were each fired in Manual mode through 24" x 24" Neewer soft boxes. The CL strobe was fired @1⁄4 power; CR @ 1⁄8 power. A third speedlight, a Nikon SB700 with Gary Fong 5th Gen Lightsphere attached, was placed CR at camera level and aimed directly at subject for fill. It was placed in Manual mode and fired @ 1⁄8 power.
The SB900's were triggered by three PocketWizard Plus X's; the SB700 was placed in SU-4 mode and triggered by the other strobes.
Lens: AF - S DX VR Zoom - Nikkor 18 - 200mm f / 3.5 - 5.6G IF - ED with a 20mm extension tube attached.

I participated in the Field Of Women 2007 at Sydney Olympic Stadium, before the AFL Game on Sat night.
There were 13,000 women in pink ponchos and 100 men in blue ponchos, to help raise money for Breast Cancer.
Before the AFL game started we had to go out onto the football field and form "the pink lady" which is the symbol for Breast Cancer Research. This was us before in the hall, waiting to be called out.
It was an amazing event to take part in, and I'm so glad I did it.
It cost $50-per person and 100% of that went to the Cancer Research, therefore at 13,100- people, they raised $655,000- that night:-) WOO HOO!!

Participating in sports car races at Virginia International Raceway, I pass this car used to haul carbon black to the Bridgestone Bandag plant in Oxford, NC. Apparently a bad order it has been sitting there for a number of years and even now has a pinetree growing in front of it. If one enlarges the pic, one can see that the car has a chain holding the left side of the truck to the rail.
Brenda participated for the first time in this shoot where we spent our day together with fun and humor and tried to get some beautiful photos out of the old center of The Hague.....
Recently, I was participating in Kurt Budligers Olympic National Park workshop. I took a bit of crap (in jest) from my other workshop participants because of the other “Canadian” we encountered on this beach. I will spare you with the details, I will just say that he came dangerously close to being thrown in the water and ridden like a surfboard by all of us.
So, while everyone else was fighting for real estate at the other end of this beach trying to work around this moron (where the sunset and reflections were epic), I had to walk away. It’s amazing to see bozos with ultra wide angle lenses on their cameras standing 50 feet away from their subject and then expecting people to clear the beach so they aren’t in his “shot”… but there it is.
All that aside, this cloud formation made it satisfying enough to head to this side of the beach instead.

This year Monster High will be participating in the student Monster Exchange program and extending it's haunted hospitality to ghouls from all over the world. Of course, it wouldn't truly be an "exchange" if some of our ghouls weren't participating, too. That's why Draculaura is totes excited to haunt East where she'll be spending time away from Monster High in the city of Shibooya. New friends, new experiences and a new culture await, but will she miss the old too much to enjoy the new? Probably not, this is Draculaura, after all, and if she misses anything it's being able to share her stories and adventures with her friends.
What participating in Inktober 2024 has meant to me:
1. Faces and heads – challenging from start to finish!
2. Hands and legs – so many ways to draw them, but I’m not always sure they’re in the right place.
3. Shading – makes a huge difference, even if it is tricky to get just right.
4. Drawing a straight line – easier said than done! During Inktober, I discovered that I enjoyed drawing mountains!
5. Researching a few of my own photos (e.g. fish, nomadic, Ocoee River) was a joy—felt like lifelong learning at its best.
6. Enjoyed experimenting with different papers, pens, and pencils.
7. Learned so much about using paintbrushes, effects, and digital techniques.
8. Problem-solving along the way was surprisingly rewarding.
9. Met some new Flickr friends and picked up a few great techniques.
10. Loved seeing how others interpreted each day’s challenge word.
11. Early on, I thought about quitting the month-long challenge because it was hard at times, but I’m glad I didn’t.
12. Sometimes, drawing felt like traveling to a new time or place—a real adventure!

Last August we participated in the South First Fridays ArtWalk, a nighttime tour through galleries, museums, and independent creative businesses on San Jose, California. One street was closed for cars and converted into a street fair. This is a booth that offers hanna body designs. It was late at night, it looks like the artist is taking a break talking with a friend.
I processed a balanced, a realistic, and a paintery HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

While participating in the Georgia Pollinator Count this morning, I happened to be visited by a new bumble bee species for my garden. Two American bumble bees, noticeably larger than my regular ones, flew among the cluster of Veronica spicata 'sunny border blue' plants I was monitoring, the ‘hotlips’ salvia, and the zinnias 'Benary's giant," landing only for seconds on each flower.

I don't think I've ever participated in "F-unit Friday," so this will be a first. Granted, F-units are harder to come by these days in most places, with OCS's usually being the only trains on which you can fine them. Such is the case on Pan Am, but in April 2013 there were at least a couple opportunities to catch Pan Am's Fs in freight service. That month, Pan Am partnered with Iowa Pacific to run a High Iron Travel special out of Boston for points west. Pan Am's F-units were brought down from Waterville to power the train, and since the train used Iowa Pacific passenger cars, Pan Am did not need to bring its office cars down for the train. I believe it was due to speed restrictions for light power moves that, in the ferry moves of the F-units, Pan Am decided to have the Fs pull short freight trains both to and from their duties for the High Iron Special. Such was the case on Sunday, April 14th when the Fs led a short intermodal train symbolled MEAY (Mechanicville, NY to Ayer, MA) out of Mechanicville on their way back to Waterville. The previous day, I had missed the High Iron Travel special due to taking my brother to a Yankees game for his bachelor party, but with reports of a horde of chasers and people later calling each other out on the internet for questionable driving techniques, I don't think I missed much. Early Sunday morning, I started getting word that the Fs would lead a freight out of Mechanicville. As was normally the case, my wife and I were getting ready to go to church. Normally--unless I'm out of town--I don't skip church to chase trains, but I knew this would potentially be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I explained the situation to my wife, and we decided to drive separate cars to church and planned to sit in the way back so I could sneak out once I got word that the train crew had gone on duty. We had gotten only five minutes from home when I received word that the train was getting ready to depart, so I pulled over, gave my wife a quick call that I already had to pull the plug, and made my way to Mechanicville. Though the sun was in and out of the clouds many times throughout the day, it was an excellent chase that has indeed never been repeated. Here at Shelburne Falls, the sun peeked out one more time, rounding out a great day and making for a pleasant drive home on this beautiful Spring day.
I participated in an event to drink sake from friends and morning of Google+ to night on that day. I was not able to take many photographs, but the mission that continued drinking until night was completed.

During the years, Mirit Ben-Nun has participated and exhibited in Art Shows in Israel and around the globe.
Mirit Ben-Nun has sold individual art pieces to private and institutional collectors and holds permanent art installations in a variety of locations throughout Israel and the world.
She had art showings at the Berlin Hilton in Germany, in China and in Italy. In the city of Mari, Italy her art is permanently placed on a plaque in a public location.
In 2020, Dr. Efrat Liani, the author of the Best Seller, Present. Influential. Leading invited Mirit Ben-Nun to be included in that book. It was Published by Kineret Zmora and includes 111 prominent Israeli women and their careers. Some of the women’s careers include bankers, journalists, business women, Olympic athletes, artists etc,.
A year later in 2021, Mirit Ben-Nun had the innovative idea, she approached each of the women within the above mentioned book, and invited each to be painted by her and to add their personal heartfelt message next to their respective painted profile. For months, she painted 70 of these women.
The Artist Shed is again participating in the most popular sim hunt on the grid. The 11th annual Spookzilla Hunt runs from October 20th to November 3rd (with a costume party on October 31st).

＝どのような症状で、どうのように沈静化するのか＝
●当たり前ですが、ここで話すことは完全に私個人のケースなので必ず病院へ行ってください。
●たぶん基礎疾患を持っている方は現在不安かと思います。
●ここの話は参考程度に留めていただき、まずは発熱したらPCR検査を必ず受けてください。そして必ず病院で診察を受けてください。
年齢 ５３才
基礎疾患名 好酸球性肺炎
１ 毎月ヌーカラ（ステロイドの皮下注射）を注入
２ 毎晩レルベアも吸引
３ 1ヶ月に1回、隣の市の大きな病院へ通院。
動画中、2カ月に一度となっていますが間違いです。
４ 昨年、７月、８月 ワクチン接種済み
病状
●ひたすら３９度内で発熱。三日間ほど。解熱剤で落としては上がり、落としては上がり、の繰り返し。発熱中は、身体中の節々が痛い。これは発熱時の症状と思われます。
●咳はまったくでなかった。恐らくワクチンのおかげ。
●五感に異常はありませんでした。動画のように声が掠れました。
●髪の毛がたくさん抜けるという話でしたが、全く自分は抜けませんでした。二日間洗わずにいて、３日目に洗ったから、たくさん抜けたように見えますが、普通の病気した時と同じように、溜まった洗髪によって、髪が抜けているだけだと思われます。
●食事は熱が下がれば食べられる。なので、下がった時に爆食いしてくださいね😃たぶん栄養をつけないと良くならない気がします。

２月２８日に発症してからずっと家の中に隔離されている間、窓の外には春の陽光が日に日に増してゆきました。柔らかい日差しです。
ふと思い出したのが、映画ゴッドファーザーのマーロンブランドでした。自宅のトマト畑で孫と戯れているうちに亡くなるのですが、彼が最後に何を感じたのかと聞かれたら僕は、光を感じながら逝っただろうと答えます。
今回、長い期間自宅にいていろいろ自分に向き合える時間をもらえました。
今までは自分の死はどうなるんだろうと曖昧だったのですが、今は答えが出せました。
わがままを聞いてもらえるならば、自分は本を読みながら死にたいなと思えるようになりました。どんな死が理想かなんて、悪い妄想は良くないのかもしれませんが、今まで想像すらできなかったんですよね。でも、今ははっきり自分の死を描けます。
僕は、本を読みながら死にたい。
今回、病を患って、自分に向き合う時間を持ててよかったです。
周囲のみなさんには大変ご迷惑をお掛けしましたが、一皮剥けて、また一歩前に進む心構えができました。ありがとうございました。

Main story
There are two reasons why a person faces the sea.
One # to enjoy a slice of shine in the sea like children bubbling over in the beach.
The other # to brush the dust of memory like an old man who misses old days # staring at the shine

Those lead to only one meaning though they do not seem to overlap. It’s a rebirth.
I face myself to change tomorrow # a vague day into something certain.
That is the meaning of a rebirth.
I had a very sweet girlfriend when I was 18.
After she left # I knew the meaning of gentleness for the first time and also a true pain of loss. After
she left # how many times did I depend too much on her # doubt her # envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However # I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me # a guy filled with ambiguous # unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.
Now I finally can convey how I felt in those days when we met.

基礎疾患ありでコロナに感染したら？
＝どのような症状で、どうのように沈静化するのか＝
●当たり前ですが、ここで話すことは完全に私個人のケースなので必ず病院へ行ってください。
●たぶん基礎疾患を持っている方は現在不安かと思います。
●ここの話は参考程度に留めていただき、まずは発熱したらPCR検査を必ず受けてください。そして必ず病院で診察を受けてください。
年齢 ５３才
基礎疾患名 好酸球性肺炎
１ 毎月ヌーカラ（ステロイドの皮下注射）を注入
２ 毎晩レルベアも吸引
３ 1ヶ月に1回、隣の市の大きな病院へ通院。
動画中、2カ月に一度となっていますが間違いです。
４ 昨年、７月、８月 ワクチン接種済み
病状
●ひたすら３９度内で発熱。三日間ほど。解熱剤で落としては上がり、落としては上がり、の繰り返し。発熱中は、身体中の節々が痛い。これは発熱時の症状と思われます。
●咳はまったくでなかった。恐らくワクチンのおかげ。
●五感に異常はありませんでした。動画のように声が掠れました。
●髪の毛がたくさん抜けるという話でしたが、全く自分は抜けませんでした。二日間洗わずにいて、３日目に洗ったから、たくさん抜けたように見えますが、普通の病気した時と同じように、溜まった洗髪によって、髪が抜けているだけだと思われます。
●食事は熱が下がれば食べられる。なので、下がった時に爆食いしてくださいね😃たぶん栄養をつけないと良くならない気がします。

最後に。
２月２８日に発症してからずっと家の中に隔離されている間、窓の外には春の陽光が日に日に増してゆきました。柔らかい日差しです。
ふと思い出したのが、映画ゴッドファーザーのマーロンブランドでした。自宅のトマト畑で孫と戯れているうちに亡くなるのですが、彼が最後に何を感じたのかと聞かれたら僕は、光を感じながら逝っただろうと答えます。
今回、長い期間自宅にいていろいろ自分に向き合える時間をもらえました。
今までは自分の死はどうなるんだろうと曖昧だったのですが、今は答えが出せました。
わがままを聞いてもらえるならば、自分は本を読みながら死にたいなと思えるようになりました。どんな死が理想かなんて、悪い妄想は良くないのかもしれませんが、今まで想像すらできなかったんですよね。でも、今ははっきり自分の死を描けます。
僕は、本を読みながら死にたい。
今回、病を患って、自分に向き合う時間を持ててよかったです。
周囲のみなさんには大変ご迷惑をお掛けしましたが、一皮剥けて、また一歩前に進む心構えができました。ありがとうございました。

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

病状
●ひたすら３９度内で発熱。三日間ほど。解熱剤で落としては上がり、落としては上がり、の繰り返し。発熱中は、身体中の節々が痛い。これは発熱時の症状と思われます。
●咳はまったくでなかった。恐らくワクチンのおかげ。
●五感に異常はありませんでした。動画のように声が掠れました。
●髪の毛がたくさん抜けるという話でしたが、全く自分は抜けませんでした。二日間洗わずにいて、３日目に洗ったから、たくさん抜けたように見えますが、普通の病気した時と同じように、溜まった洗髪によって、髪が抜けているだけだと思われます。
●食事は熱が下がれば食べられる。なので、下がった時に爆食いしてくださいね😃たぶん栄養をつけないと良くならない気がします。

２月２８日に発症してからずっと家の中に隔離されている間、窓の外には春の陽光が日に日に増してゆきました。柔らかい日差しです。
ふと思い出したのが、映画ゴッドファーザーのマーロンブランドでした。自宅のトマト畑で孫と戯れているうちに亡くなるのですが、彼が最後に何を感じたのかと聞かれたら僕は、光を感じながら逝っただろうと答えます。
今回、長い期間自宅にいていろいろ自分に向き合える時間をもらえました。
今までは自分の死はどうなるんだろうと曖昧だったのですが、今は答えが出せました。
わがままを聞いてもらえるならば、自分は本を読みながら死にたいなと思えるようになりました。どんな死が理想かなんて、悪い妄想は良くないのかもしれませんが、今まで想像すらできなかったんですよね。でも、今ははっきり自分の死を描けます。
僕は、本を読みながら死にたい。
今回、病を患って、自分に向き合う時間を持ててよかったです。
周囲のみなさんには大変ご迷惑をお掛けしましたが、一皮剥けて、また一歩前に進む心構えができました。ありがとうございました。

I face myself to change tomorrow # a vague day into something certain.
That is the meaning of a rebirth.
I had a very sweet girlfriend when I was 18.
After she left # I knew the meaning of gentleness for the first time and also a true pain of loss. After
she left # how many times did I depend too much on her # doubt her # envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However # I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me # a guy filled with ambiguous # unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

作品にはサインなどがいっさい記されていなかったため、彼の作品だと断定できませんでした。
しかし、様々な鑑定の結果、陽の光を浴びました。

基礎疾患ありでコロナに感染したら？
＝どのような症状で、どうのように沈静化するのか＝
●当たり前ですが、ここで話すことは完全に私個人のケースなので必ず病院へ行ってください。
●たぶん基礎疾患を持っている方は現在不安かと思います。
●ここの話は参考程度に留めていただき、まずは発熱したらPCR検査を必ず受けてください。そして必ず病院で診察を受けてください。
年齢 ５３才
基礎疾患名 好酸球性肺炎
１ 毎月ヌーカラ（ステロイドの皮下注射）を注入
２ 毎晩レルベアも吸引
３ 1ヶ月に1回、隣の市の大きな病院へ通院。
動画中、2カ月に一度となっていますが間違いです。
４ 昨年、７月、８月 ワクチン接種済み
病状
●ひたすら３９度内で発熱。三日間ほど。解熱剤で落としては上がり、落としては上がり、の繰り返し。発熱中は、身体中の節々が痛い。これは発熱時の症状と思われます。
●咳はまったくでなかった。恐らくワクチンのおかげ。
●五感に異常はありませんでした。動画のように声が掠れました。
●髪の毛がたくさん抜けるという話でしたが、全く自分は抜けませんでした。二日間洗わずにいて、３日目に洗ったから、たくさん抜けたように見えますが、普通の病気した時と同じように、溜まった洗髪によって、髪が抜けているだけだと思われます。
●食事は熱が下がれば食べられる。なので、下がった時に爆食いしてくださいね😃たぶん栄養をつけないと良くならない気がします。

恐らくワクチン接種を2回、きちんと済ませていたから重症化しませんでした。
まだ受けていない方は早めに済ませ、3回目もきちんと受けましょう。

コロナは風邪だと平然と言う方へ。
コロナは決して風邪ではありません。風邪なわけねーだろ、ボケ！！！！😡💢👊
最後に。
２月２８日に発症してからずっと家の中に隔離されている間、窓の外には春の陽光が日に日に増してゆきました。柔らかい日差しです。
ふと思い出したのが、映画ゴッドファーザーのマーロンブランドでした。自宅のトマト畑で孫と戯れているうちに亡くなるのですが、彼が最後に何を感じたのかと聞かれたら僕は、光を感じながら逝っただろうと答えます。
今回、長い期間自宅にいていろいろ自分に向き合える時間をもらえました。
今までは自分の死はどうなるんだろうと曖昧だったのですが、今は答えが出せました。
わがままを聞いてもらえるならば、自分は本を読みながら死にたいなと思えるようになりました。どんな死が理想かなんて、悪い妄想は良くないのかもしれませんが、今まで想像すらできなかったんですよね。でも、今ははっきり自分の死を描けます。
僕は、本を読みながら死にたい。
今回、病を患って、自分に向き合う時間を持ててよかったです。
周囲のみなさんには大変ご迷惑をお掛けしましたが、一皮剥けて、また一歩前に進む心構えができました。ありがとうございました。
