“FROM the towns all Inns have been driven: from the villages most. . . . Change your hearts or you will lose your Inns and you will deserve to have lost them. But when you have lost your Inns drown your empty selves, for you will have lost the last of England.”

Better than 10 years ago a Flickr member named Jon Read posted several images that featured a styrofoam wig head. I was taken! I faved them and went back often to have a look. And never did anything like what he did.

Fast forward to the year that would not end... and all of the sudden I had a bit of time to make some images, but wasn't allowed to come close enough to them to make the image I wanted.

The wig head images made by Jon cam back to me. I wanted to try something a bit different... so while absolutely inspire by his work... I took a different path.

The first issue was to paint my styrofoam head black. I ended up painting the entire head in several coats of Elmer's glue. THEN I could safely spray paint it.

The lighting showed the balance I wanted, The mask was added as a pop pf color and to express the new normal we are dealing with.

looked almost like the old-normal days whatever those were

Winston Churchill once said “No crisis should go to waste”. Will our politicians take advantage of this crisis to fundamentally change our freedoms and way of life? To further their financial enrichment? There are signs this is already happening. The overriding question should be, are we going to allow this?
