Vermont is a magical land especially during Fall. I was able to take this pic after a 2 mile walk. Absolutely loved the walk surrounded by colorful trees on both sides, cows gazing the grass with colorful mountains at the backdrop. It was like a moving painting.

Capturing that beautiful soft sidelight just moments after the sun rose on a mid-October morning. These days, I don’t photograph New England and Vermont nearly as often as I once did, since my focus has shifted more toward the American West.
Still, when time allows, it’s an easy and welcome return, though I tend to steer clear of the heavily photographed iconic spots like the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire and of course, Jenne Farm and Sleepy Hollow. {this image was captured on October 15, 2011}

I've posted this on the 1st of September, So I guess I'm ready for autumn already :) I photographed this picturesque setting back in October of 2019 while shooting mostly in the Stowe VT area.
This was my final VT stop as I made our way south to home base. I had no idea what to expect from sunrise on this morning, I was stoked to see the steam fog rising off the Winooski River just behind the historic church, and having the sun pop up between a notch in the Maple tree was a nice bonus.
