Grewal said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was of the view that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) should not have announced to hold any demonstration against the Border Security Force (BSF). He said that this would have amounted to an attempt to demoralise the forces deployed on the border, the Border Security Force (BSF). It's well known to each and everybody that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) had on Sunday announced that it will organise "Dharnas"on the international border on January 5, 2015 to "pressurise" the Border Security Force (BSF) to stop entry of drugs from Pakistan. GOVERNMENT OF GUJARAT CELEBRAT THE 50Th YEAR OF GUJARAT AS SWANIM GUJARAT ON 1st MAY 2010 AT SARDAR PATEL STADIUM NAVRANG PURA AHMEDABAD.

Bathinda (Goniana Mandi) April 9, 2017: National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal opposed Reserve Bank of India Governor Urjit Patel remarks on loan waiver to farmers.

Talking with the media persons here today, Grewal said since farmers are the country's biggest revenue earners, it is the duty and responsibility of the government-run banks to protect them during dire situations or when they are in trouble. He also appreciate National President BJP Kisan Morcha and Lok Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh Shri Virendra Singh Mast who countered Urjit Patel's opinion that such a move "undermines an honest credit culture" and could "affect the national balance sheet" and also talked about the "need to create a consensus such that loan waiver promises are eschewed."

Grewal said that it's well known to each and everybody that Urjit Patel heads the government's business, economic institution and hence he has looked at the issue from a business-economic perspective, but the job of the government is also to take a humanitarian view of things." He said that for banks the "maximum deposits come from the rural areas and most of the recovery of money also comes from farmers, hence it is some sort of a duty for them to stand by the farmers when they are in dire situations." So I t is a temporary measure and not a permanent move, the BJP Kisan Morch.

Adding he said, "when banks were nationalised in the country one of the purposes was to have 45% of their activity to help development in the country. Hence protecting farmers in need is a duty that banks cannot ignore." Hailing from a farming background himself BJP Kisan Morcha leader said that since 82% of the country's population constitutes of farmers who provide for maximum revenue to the government, it is the duty of the government and nationalised banks to bail them out when they are in trouble across the country.

BJP Kisan Morcha National Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today charge successive Congress Governments at the Centre with ignoring great leaders of the country only to project a single family. Ludhiana , 4 February 2014 -

National BJP leader and Secretary All India Kisan Morcha Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today raised an alarm over the non-payment of interest on advance consumption deposit (ACD) to consumers by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) in Punjab. Talking with the media persons here today, he said the annual revenue report of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (ARR) has revealed that it would have a liability of over Rs 1,300 crore as interest on the advance consumption deposit (ACD) towards consumers in 2014 -15. Grewal said the advance consumption deposit is paid by the consumers at the time of getting connections. He said that as per the Electricity Act, 2003, the Punjab government bifurcated the PSEB into PSPCL (distribution and generation) and PSTCL (transmission) on 16th April 2010. Before this, the state government formed the Supply Code, 2007. He said that besides, PSPCL recovered the ACD from consumers using above 100 kw in 2010 and the consumers who used between 20 kw and 100 kw from 2013 to 2014. During this time, it also recovered the ACD from domestic and commercial consumers. He told the ADC stood at about Rs 1,501 crore on April 16, 2010 and PSPCL paid Rs 88.31 crore as interest for 2010-11 to consumers. Grewal added that the calculations suggested that Rs 88.31 was the interest on Rs 654.15 crore and the interest on Rs 847.17 remained unpaid out of a total of Rs 1,501 crore. Grewal stated that the Clause 15 of the Supply Code says that PSPCL would take security from the consumers. However, its section 17.4 also made it clear that in case of its failure to pay 12.25 per cent interest on the ACD to consumers, it would have to pay the double of the interest to consumers. Grewal said that there will be a burden of about Rs 1,300 crore on PSPCL in the next fiscal. As per the Supply Code, the ACD is being recovered from consumers for extension of load, change of name, change of tariff and category, power theft, regularisation of load under various schemes of VDS and others.

On the occasion of the visit of the Prime Minister of India, November 2015.

Chandigarh : December 26, 2014

It all began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann ki Baat a couple of weeks ago, in which he singled out Punjab for the drug menace. “I have come across helpless and angry mothers in Punjab” he said, “The bullets that hit our soldiers is backed by drug money.” Anger against drugs runs deep in the Punjab countryside. The BJP, with its largely urban following, is for the first time eyeing rural Punjab. It sees the drug issue as the vehicle which can take it there. It was the AAP which capitalised on the issue and won a surprise four Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab. A senior BJP leader pointed out, “If new entrant AAP could penetrate Sikh villages by taking up this issue, why can’t we do it?” Punjab BJP leaders have announced that party president Amit Shah will begin a campaign against drugs from Amritsar on January 12, and a march that touches 6,000 villages will be held. The ruling SAD, sharing power with the BJP in Punjab, immediately retaliated by asking the central government to stop the flow of drugs into the state from across the border as well as neighbouring states. Within days of this, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is investigating a multi-crore drug money laundering racket, issued a summons to question Bikram Singh Majithia, Punjab’s Revenue Minister and brother of Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal. The ED had reportedly prepared a detailed questionnaire for Majithia last month. Majithia will be questioned at Jalandhar on Friday. An unusually assertive state BJP, led by its State President Kamal Sharma, and National Secretary Tarun Chugh and National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal promptly demanded Majithia’s resignation on moral grounds. With the Akalis supporting Majithia and Badal refusing to ask him to resign, ties between an already strained alliance became more frosty. But when the opposition Congress sought to capitalise on the open rift between the two, and pushed for a no-confidence motion on the issue in the Assembly, the two allies stood together to defeat the motion. Notwithstanding this, the party is still firm on its demand for Majithia’s resignation.

He said that this Fateh Rally would act as a game changer of Indian History with the Punjabi's set to host one of the largest Rallies held in India to herald the ascendency of Prime Ministerial Narendra Modi. In a Press statement here today, he said that the people of Punjab were eagerly waiting to witness this historic event as well as teach the inefficient and corrupt UPA government a befitting lesson in the 2014 parliamentary elections. He said that large number of SAD-BJP workers would attend this Rally.

Chandigarh , 10 February 2014 -

Arunachal Pradesh student Nido Taniam's death after being beaten at a south Delhi market last week raised tempers in every Indian. National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal condemned the bad accident and made an impassioned appeal for protection of citizens from the northeast. In a press statement here today Grewal said that a child came from Arunachal Pradesh and they made fun of his hairstyle. We need to understand the diversity of this country, that a teekhi naakwala and chapti naakwala, those with sharp noses and flat noses all belong to India. He said that they all are Indian's and the remark, said critics, ended up reinforcing stereotypes about people from the region and would not go down well with Northeast protestors in Delhi who say racial discrimination is rampant in the national capital. Grewal also urged the government to set up hostels for students from the northeast, to be shared by those from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to help bridge divides. It's well known to everybody that Nido 20, died on Thursday, hours after he was beaten by a group of shopkeepers at Lajpat Nagar who had jeered at his hairstyle and made allegedly racist comments. Anti-incumbency against the SAD-BJP Government is a propaganda, All India Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today dismissed suggestions of anti-incumbency against the SAD-BJP Government as propaganda spread by rivals, during voting day. In a press statement here today Grewal said that there is no anti-incumbency against the state government but rather it is against the UPA government. He said that even last time, Assembly elections there was talk of anti-incumbency against the Punjab Government and look, our alliance created history. Grewal said this time too, history will be created in Punjab. Grewal said that it is a Narendra Modi and Parkash Singh Badal combination that is working well in Punjab. He said the anti-incumbency propaganda has been created by the rivals as they did last time and you all have seen the results. Grewal said the Congress party is struggling to survive while the Aam Admi Party ( AAP ) will just come and go not only from Punjab, but the entire country. Grewal said that the Government was committed to delivering on major fronts once a NDA government was formed at the centre. "Badal Sahab has a unique relationship with Mr Narendra Modi and has already discussed a number of issues with the NDA prime ministerial candidate". He said this included constructing houses for the houseless in both rural and urban areas, offering a remunerative minimum support price, MSP to the farmers and ensuring them full crop insurance besides working for an industrial package for the State. Grewal said that we hope to deliver on all these issues once Shri Narendra Modi is sworn in as the next prime minister of our country. Grewal said the people should evaluate what the party could offer to the State and its people. He said that everyone knows that all the senior leaders including Capt Amarinder Singh, Partap Singh Bajwa and Sunil Jakhar were reluctant candidates and were forced into the contest by the high command. He said even today till the very last minute they are working against each other and have no hope of winning from their seats. Grewal said it was for the people to decide why the Congress had not told the people of Punjab what the UPA government did for the State during the last ten years. He said that six Punjab Congress leaders even served as Union ministers during this period, even they failed to bring any major project to Punjab. He said the Punjab Congress party has even failed to come out with its future vision for the State. He said that all the party has done since the last nearly two months is run a negative propaganda against the SAD-BJP combine in Punjab.
