National BJP Leader from Punjab Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that our Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Saturday exhorted people in this Jammu and Kashmir town to unshackle themselves from the yoke of dynastic rule and promised to make the state the ultimate tourist destination in the world. Grewal told that in a public rally Shri Narendra Modi said that Jammu and Kashmir had been held hostage by two families for over 50 years, without naming either the Congress or the National Conference. “One family rules and robs the sate for five years and then after it becomes unpopular, it gives the power to rob the state to the other family. They have done a political match fixing between themselves". BJP Leader told so Shri Narendra Modi appeal to unshackle yourselves from the yoke of this Dynastic Rule. He asked people to vote for the BJP in large numbers so that the next government in the state is formed by the BJP on its own strength. The state will see a staggered five-phase elections that begins Nov 25 and ends Dec 20.The votes will be counted Dec 23. Shri Narendra Modi also spoke of Former Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision for the state, asserting he would use all his power to realize that dream. “I have a vision for Jammu and Kashmir and that vision is based on Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision of Insaniyat, Jumhooriyat and Kashmiriyat. Shri Narendra Modi said that “There were times when Kutch district in Gujarat was the most backward area of the country, I learnt a great thing by visiting Kutch. I had then recently taken over as the chief minister of Gujarat. I met people there who told me they were fed up of repeated speeches by politicians about the looming threat from across the border.” He also added that “people there wanted me to speak to them about development and progress in their lives. I learnt there that power of this vision in Kutch. Today Kutch is the fastest developing district of the country”. “It produces more electric power than the entire state of J&K. If Kutch can prosper, so can Kashmir. I have come to seek your cooperation to realize that dream for Kashmir.” The Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that development is his mantra for the entire country. Noting that the fastest growing industry in the world today is tourism industry, he said: “I have to bring back Bollywood to Kashmir. I have to bring back tourism to the state and I have to make J&K the ultimate tourist destination in the world.” Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also spoke of the rehabilitation of refugees who came here from Pakistan after 1947 and are living in Jammu from many years.

National BJP leader from Punjab Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that the Mission 44 plus of BJP cannot be achieved without the dedicated, sincere and vigorous efforts of the party workers because cadre is the strength of BJP and that is why BJP is different from other political parties in India. In workers meeting in Kathua BJP leader said to ensure 100% turnout in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Grewal asked party workers to be present at their respective polling booths following the slogan 'One Booth Ten Youth' coined during the Lok Sabha polls. He said the focus of each and every worker of BJP should be at their respective polling booths and all members of polling booth should check that 100% polling should take place at the time of elections. Grewal stated that the slogan of 'One Booth Ten Youth' must be followed just like it was done at the time of Lok Sabha elections. He also said that now the time is ripe for the nationalistic and peace loving people of Jammu and Kashmir to vote for a positive change in the state. "The enthusiasm which I have seen today among the workers is tremendous and he also advised that it is the need of the hour to ensure the victory of the BJP candidates for the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir as well as the nation. Today to encourage the workers at polling booth level, Grewal addressed a workers meeting of all three constituencies of Jammu including Jammu East, Jammu West and Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency in the State.

Now analysis has shown, if our party BJP had got 2500 more votes, BJP would have been in power today and it came short of four to five seats in these Delhi elections. In a press statement here today, National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal stated it's very much clear that our BJP party men present clean image and work honestly without groupism in the three civic bodies under party BJP control in Delhi. He said that AAP has made corruption as an issue and brought it to the centre. He said that's why those of us in the Municipal Corporation have a responsibility. Grewal said that now in Delhi there should be competition of "honesty" between BJP and AAP which are the more honest. He said that BJP cannot be defeated in Delhi, party and its workers have to realise this challenge and work honestly. Grewal said BJP party men if remain clean and work with honesty in running the three civic bodies where BJP is in power. He said then there is no force in this world which will stop BJP from winning all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. He said in these Delhi assembly elections the results came like a mirror we see that BJP on those seats which we have been lose for the last 15 years. He said that our party BJP win all those seats in the assembly elections but those seats which have been ours and our Party will lose these. He stated that the reason behind this was that in these areas our BJP workers had gone through an exile for the last 15 years but in others, groupism came to the fore, which is too bad for everybody. Grewal said that the results of the Assembly elections if our party BJP had got only 2500 more votes, BJP would have been in power today and it came short of four to five seats during these Delhi elections.

Ludhiana Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader and Punjab State Investor Cell chief Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today questioned the slow pace of the probe into the Rs 752-crore advertisement tax scandal. He also blamed commissioner Gs Ghuman for the delay.
Grewal was addressing a press conference at the commissioner’s office today, where he had gone to submit a memorandum. The commissioner, however, was not present in office. Talking to the mediapersons, Grewal said Ghuman was shielding the corrupt and erring officials, who had milked the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation for past six years.
Grewal said he would file a formal complaint with the Punjab Vigilance Bureau to ensure swift investigation into the scandal.
Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal had earlier ordered an inquiry into the Rs 752 crore advertisement tax scandal and entrusted the MC commissioner to investigate into the matter, in a Sangat Darshan on November 8, last year.
Grewal said that oil marketing companies in connivance with the advertisement mafia and officers of the MCs of Punjab have installed flex hoardings over petrol pumps, but have not paid any advertisement tax till yet.
He said, over 68,388 retail outlets across the country, of which 5,226 retail outlets are commissioned in Punjab have erected flex hoardings with an average advertising space of 1,000 square feet, which means advertisement tax on 52,26000 square feet space. This is fleeced by these OMCs and the advertisement mafia. “This accounts a whopping loss of over Rs 125 crore per annum to the Punjab government alone,” he said.

Grewal said that Dirty tricks Department of Congress Party has used disgruntled police officers and civil servants to make baseless allegations against Narendra Modi but that it does not seem to be cutting ice. He said that the large number of NGO's with invisible funding which had made a living out of keeping anti-Modi litigation alive in courts have not so far succeeded in bringing out any material evidence against Narendra Modi that's very shameful. Grewal questioned that What does the Congress Party then do if Suddenly a series of websites have appeared with some stories and some non-stories. He said that he had commented earlier that the Congress Party was unable to deal with Narendra Modi. Grewal said that the Congress Party has undeclared prime ministerial candidate is making no impact. He so, it has resorted to some of its leaders confining themselves to tweets and press conferences. Grewal claimed response to Narendra Modi rally's has been unprecedented. He said that I have in the last two decades after the expansion of 24X7 satellite TV, seen a lack of interest in public rally's. Narendra Modi's public meetings have revived that interest in public everywhere.

Talking with the media at his office 17-A Lodhi Enclave Barewal Road, Ludhiana today, Grewal questioned Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir Mufti Mohammad Sayeed regarding the steps taken against the policemen involved in the killing of Sikh youth. Grewal labelled this as irresponsible and unprofessional behaviour on the part of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Grewal said that he stayed at Srinagar in Kashmir Valley for a whole month prior to the elections and he worked day and night to garner confidence of Sikhs in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and this is how the State Machinery of there very own Country rewards them back. Grewal recommends the suspension of the police officials involved and the Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to personally visit the family of the slain Sikh youth. Punjab BJP Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today said our party would urge the State Government to pass on the benefit to commuters with diesel rates cut, the BJP will ask the Punjab Government to slash bus fares. Describing it as the Diwali Gift from the Narendra Modi Government. Talking with the media persons here today Grewal said his party wanted the drug menace in the state to be eliminated and would ask the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to step up efforts to take on the Drug mafia in the State. He said that our party wants effective police officials to tackle the issue. He said that the campaign against drugs seems to be waning, our party will raise the other issues including Regularising illegal colonies. Grewal told though the decision in this regard was taken long ago, legal formalities are yet to be completed. Our party BJP wants officials to be told that these should be expedited. He said that we wants the process to be completed before the municipal elections. Grewal said that we also wants the decision not to levy VAT on marriage palaces implemented in letter and spirit also, the issue of VAT refund is yet to be sorted out. He said that it is clear that owing to the delay in refund, our party workers had to face angry voters in urban areas. Grewal said that we wants a time bound and transparent refund system in the State.
The government will scrutinise 30,000 cases among taxpayers, individual and non-individual, who tried regularising their unaccounted incomes by filing returns in response to the note ban in November last year.

He took over PDP, APHC and NC Leadership for inciting communal tension in Jammu and Kashmir and actively took the cause of Kashmiri Pandits taking refuge in their own country. Talking with the media persons here today, Grewal said due to these efforts of SAD-BJP Government as result several business houses are keen to invest in our Punjab. Our Punjab Government had undertaken many power reforms to further facilitate Industrial Houses such as unbundling Punjab State Electricity Board into Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). The intent was to increase the efficiency but unfortunately the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is providing poor services to the Consumers in Punjab. These services and absolute non-adherence of Standards of Performance mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) appointed by Government of Punjab. Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) has specified critical distribution parameters to provide efficient, reliable and safe system of Electricity through its regulations provided in its Supply Code. These Minimum Standards of Performance provides strict timelines to resolve various Consumer grievances viz. Normal Fuse Off, Overhead Line Breakdowns, Underground Cable Breakdowns, Distribution Transformer Failure, Power Transformer Failure, Street Light Faults, Period of Scheduled Outage, Voltage Fluctuations, Meter Complaints, Release of New Connection, Transfer of Title or Conversion of Services, Shifting of Meter/Service Connection and other Services, Complaints about Consumer’s Bills and restoration of Supply. Grewal said that the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) mandates a compensation to the Consumer in case of non-fulfillment of these Minimum Standards of Performance. Compensation varies from Rs 50/- to Rs 5000/- for each default for each Consumer. It is well known that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited neither fulfils these Minimum Standard of performance (MSOP) nor compensates any Consumer towards any such lapse whereas Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) mandates payment of such compensation by the way of adjustment in Electricity Bills. For instance, Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) mandates a normal fuse off complaint shall be addressed within 4 hours in cities, towns and urban areas and in case Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) fails to resolve the complaint within 4 hours, it shall remit Rs 50/- as compensation by the way of adjustment in the next bill of the Consumer. Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) mandates registration of each and every complaint filed by the Consumer verbally, telephonically or in writing as per a duly approved Consumer Complaint Handling Procedure whereas there is hardly any such effective system in place to register and address consumer complaints. According to the Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) filed by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) with the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC), it received only 2462 complaints in a year from over 65 Lac Consumers across Punjab whereas on an average more than 10000 complaints are received daily by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited which clearly means Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) had fudged Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) figures to avoid compensation and save itself from the wrath of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC). Grewal demanded to pass strict instructions to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to ensure registration of each and every complaint and its quick resolution, adhere to the Minimum Standard of performance (MSOP) as mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) and compensate each and every Consumer in case of any failure on its part. Grewal said that he has also sent Regd. Senior Bharatiya Janta Party Leader and Punjab State President BJP Investor Cell Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal wrote a letter to Master Mohan Lal, Transport Minister, Government of Punjab and demanded that the State Government should reduce Bus Fare as prices of Diesel have been reduced considerably by Rs 4/-. The prevailing rates of Diesel were applicable in September 2005.
Grewal stated that citing an opportunity to increase fares in the wake of increased fuel prices autocratic Captain Amarinder Singh led Congress Government burdened people of Punjab by raising the fares from 42 paise per Km to 49 paise per Km. He added that the above dictatorial decision burdened over 8.5 Lac commuters who travel on 2418 Buses of Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation and PEPSU Roadways Transport Corporation daily.
Grewal stated that SAD-BJP Government is committed to “Raj Nahi Seva” and the Punjab Government should immediately reduce bus fares from 49 paise to 40 paise to provide much abated relief to common man of Punjab especially when the Diesel Prices have been rolled back to Rs 29.82 below its year 2005 prices. He added that the above decision will reiterate “Raj Nahi Seva” slogan given by SAD-BJP alliance before Lok Sabha Polls especially when most of the Private Fleet of Buses are owned by companies promoted by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar. National BJP Leader Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that formation of third front as mixture of political parties, saying the front was not capable of preventing Narendra Modi from becoming Prime Minister. Talking with the local media persons at Bhamian Kalan today, Grewal also dared the Third Front to declare its Prime Ministerial candidate so voters can make choice between them and BJP. He said that on going by the mood of the nation this front is not capable of preventing Narendra Modi for becoming the Prime Minister of the country. Grewal said that the countrymen have already made up their mind to handover the reign of the country in the strong hands of Modi due to which such fronts would hardly have any impact in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls. He said that the SAD-BJP alliance has already geared up for the forthcoming general polls by announcing the majority of candidates adding that the remaining candidates would be announced soon. Buoyed over the success of Narendra Modi's Fateh rally in the state, he said the Gujarat Chief Minister would also address a few more rallies in the state before the elections. Grewal gave a clarion call to people to form NDA-led government at the Centre, saying a decisive Prime Minister like Narendra Modi will restore country's glory as "Golden Sparrow." He said Narendra Modi had already proved his mettle as a visionary leader by making Gujarat a leading state of the country. Grewal also impressed upon the people to rise above their parochial considerations and vote for the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate to restore the lost glory of the country. He said that every vote for BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate was a vote for the betterment of the country. Grewal accused Congress party of misruling the country and its wrong policies during the last 55 years. He said that due to misrule of Congress spanning over more than 55 years the dreams of our freedom fighters to have a progressive India has not been realised. Grewal alleged that the result of wrong policies of Congress is that today the country is facing a number of social maladies like unemployment, poverty, starvation, illiteracy and inflation which have accentuated the woes of the common man in our country.
