BJP Kisan Morcha National Secretary and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that in Congress led UPA Government farmers of our country are facing drought condition created by the policies of government, farmers die and not the crop. Talking with the media persons here today he said that during the 9 years 8 months congress and government rule, 145000 farmers were forced to commit suicides. Grewal told that one farmer dies after every half an hour, becomes helpless to commit suicide after getting trapped in debt net. Government is directly responsible for these suicides. He said that out dated policy and non implantation of the proposed polices are behind these deaths. Grewal said that If policies are not changed according to changing time, then they become destructive. 50 years ago, agricultural cost and price commission formulaic were formulated. Cost is being calculated there under. There is no provision of farmer’s margin in the calculations of CACP. Grewal said that keeping the formula for giving remunerative prices to farmers in the cold storage for 7 years is a criminal sin. Swaminathan Commission report lying with Government since 2007. He said that Sr. Manmohan Singh, Shmt. Sonia Gandhi, Shri. Rahul Gandhi and Central Government are directly responsible for suicide by farmers. Don’t open their mouth to implement the report of farmer’s commotions. He said that mad the report been implemented, the farmers would have gotten Rs 2100 for wheat, Rs 2025 for paddy and Rs 375 for sugarcane. The commission had made a recommendation of 50% margin. MSP is less than the cost of wheat and paddy even. Grewal said that the second crime is non-implementation of risk management report. He said that the committee of five chief ministers under the chairmanship of Haryana CM Bhupender Singh Hudda had recommended compensation of minimum of Rs 10000 per acre. He said this report is also lying with govt. since 2010. Government is totally ignoring the farmer’s interest. Farmers are lying because of frost, drought, excessive rains, hail storm, phenil. He said that the interests of farmers are outside the preview of UPA Governments priorities. Grewal said by increasing the cost of agriculture inputs, Government has converted the profit of farmers into loss. He said that decontrol of fertilizers like DAP, MOP, Sulphate, Phosphate allowing their sale in open market like diesel with partial subsidy, three times increase in the prices, increase in the price of diesel every month, increased price of electricity, labour and pesticides have made agriculture the most useless profession. Grewal said that the macro economy policies of Sr. Manmohan Singh have destroyed micro economy of farmers. He said that price is important for farmers growing two crops. Where irrigation is important to the same extant for farmers growing one crop 60% land is deprived of irrigation in the country. Grewal said that for growing second crop, Country’s farmer is not getting infrastructure facility like irrigation. He said that three farmers have been killed in police firing in Maval (Maharashtra) because they were saving water for irrigation. Whereas BJP Governments in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh have increased the irrigated area during the corresponding period. Grewal said that the benefit of UPA government’s loan waiver scheme went to banks and not to farmers. He said that the banks are now sending notices of attachment to farmers. The farmers of Yamuna Nagar in Haryana have offered to give their kidney against payment of loans. Bharat is a country of farmers- farmers compelled to give their kidney in order to save their land and agricultural implements. He said that it reminded the story of Sailack of Merchant of Venis. Government has indirectly become Sailack. Madhya Pradesh govt has given the farmers a singh of relief by providing them interest free loans for one year at this time. Grewal said that the current decade is known as a decade of loot of land of farmers in the name of SEZ. He said that the capalists have built their land bank by acquiring farmer’s lands, 30 farmers have been killed in police firing while protecting their land and for getting irrigation facility and better price during these 10 years in the country. He said that now, they intend to get SEZ dennotified and sell the land at 5-6 times more price. No development of land took place during the 6-7 periods. Purpose changed, 6 times profit in 6 years, the land purchased at a price of 30 lakhs, now sold at Rs two crores. Nothing was given to those, who were in possession of these lands for 600 years. Grewal said that our country is heading towards elections for 16th Lok Sabha, the issues pertaining to farmers do not have any place in the debate at national level. Grewal stated that Kisan Adhikar Divas will be observed on 30th January on death anniversary of Gandhi and Kisan Morcha will stage dharnas in all the 618 district centers in pain and grief and to expose anti- farmer polices of Congress-led government before the general police. He said that BJP Kisan Morcha will be raise following issues that's are the recommendation of Swaminathan Commission regarding remunerative prices with 50% profit must be implemented with immediate effect. Other issue is the recommendation made by the Chief Ministers Committee about compensation of Rs 10000 per acre for risk management must be implemented. The next one issue is to withdraw the increased price of mixed fertilizers. Inputs may be made available to farmers at cheap cost. Grewal said that for water Kisan morcha wants that water should be provided to each field by linking, rivers, water conservation and “Tapka” irrigation. Grewal said that interest free loans must be given for one year on the lines of Madhya Pradesh Government. He said that lands of SEZ being denotified must be given back to farmers. In case the farmers are not able to return the amount they got, then due share of profit may be given to then on the next stage. Grewal said that if the Government does not take any positive step on these demands of the farmers within a week, then we will observed Kisan Aakrosh Divas on 7th February throughout the country and will sit on Railway track for which govt of india will be responsible and not the farmers. Our condition is like that of a man who is on the Verge of dying. Grewal said that BJP Kisan Morcha request all the farmers and farmer’s organizations in the country to participate in this agitation.

National Secretary, BJP Kisan Morcha from Punjab Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today thanked Hon'ble Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for offering an official apology for the tragic Komagata Maru incident in which a shipload of Indians were refused entry into Canada more than 100 years ago. Grewal said this gesture showed great political sagacity, statesmanship and a genuine concern for humane values. Grewal was referring to the apology offered at the parliament in Ottawa recently by Justin Trudeau on behalf of Government of Canada for their role in the Komagata Maru incident. BJP Leader also hoped that the Leaders and Governments all over the world would take a leaf out of the Justin Trudeau's book and try to follow the great example set by the Canadian Prime Minister in offering apologies for past sins and crimes to remove distortions in history. Grewal said that history can neither be rewritten nor forgotten. He said but it can certainly be transcended, and this is the way to do it. On the events of 1984 in Punjab are one such instance in history that demands a matching gesture of this kind. Grewal thanked and appreciate the Canadian Prime Minister, Federal Government and the people of Canada for displaying Great vision and a large heartedness. He said that he have always believed that this painful chapter in history will not only continue to hurt sentiments of Indians, Punjabi's and especially the Sikh community but it also stands as an unfair and ill deserved blot on the fair name of your great nation of the country.

मुख्यमंत्री कमलनाथ को इस्तीफा देने पहुंचे धरमपुरी विधायक पांचीलाल मेंढा।
धरमपुरी से कांग्रेस विधायक पांचीलाल मेंढा ने अपना इस्तीफा मुख्यमंत्री कमलनाथ देने भोपाल पहुंचे। वे अपने क्षेत्र में शराब माफिया पर कार्रवाई नहीं होने से दुखी हैं। विधायक का कहना है कि स्कूल के पास बनीं दो शराब दुकानों को हटाने के लिए मैंने अपने कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ बैठक की थी। इसके बाद उन्होंने इसकी शिकायत प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों को भी की थी। इसके बाद भी उन पर कार्रवाई नहीं है। विधायक का कहना है कि शराब दुकान तो नहीं हटी पर शराब माफिया ने मेरे कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ अभद्रता की है। उन्होंने अतिरिक्त आबकारी अधिकारी राधेश्याम राय को हटाने की मांग की है।
सुबह प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के दौरान मंत्री प्रद्युमन सिंह तोमर वहां पहुंचे और विधायक मेंढा को मीडिया के सामने ही अपने साथ में खींचकर ले गए। इस दौरान उन्होंने विधायक को मीडिया से बात भी नहीं करने दी और कहने लगे कि हम साथ में सीएम कमलनाथ जी से मिलने के लिए जाएंगे। मेंढा मेरे मित्र हैं और मैं उन्हें अपने साथ ले जाऊंगा। मंत्री विधायक को ले गए फिर बंद कमरे में उनके साथ चर्चा की।

FAIPT National Secretary and Spokesperson Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that Dealers being harassed by income tax authorities on issue of deposit of old currency notes. Federation of All India Petroleum Traders, FAIPT and oil industry meeting was held today at Hotel Park New Delhi with Ed Retail George Paul BPCL ,ED retail Mr A Prasad HPCL and Ed D K Sharmaji IOCL along with concerned GM and chief managers of all 3 oil companies were present.
In this meeting National President Ashok Badhwar, National General Secretary TS Anand, National Secretary and Spokesperson FAIPT Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal from Punjab, Pashupati Mata from Mumbai and other senior leaders pressed senior oil Industry officers for 5% dealer margin and said that the Revision in Dealer Margin is awaited from 1st Jan 17 GM Mr R K Panda responded that since 12th Jan there has been no revision in product prices hence dealer margin could not be increased, he indicated that a price revision can happen on 16th march or 31 March night than increased dealer margin will be effected.He also informed that next Dealer Margins increases will happen in July 2017 in which Increase in minimum wages to the tune of more than 50%will be considered along with other components.
Grewal told that FAIPT leaders said that Dealers are being harassed by the income tax authorities on the issue of deposit of old currency notes they are doing surveys and sending notice of personal appearances All Ed's assured that they will bring this issue in the notice of Petroleum ministry and PMO and save the dealers from undue torture. They raised an issue of pilferage and theft of product during. FAIPT leader from Himachal Pradesh raised the issue regarding transportation and stressed on strong ATS system.
Grewal told that FAIPT National President Ashok Badhwar recommended fixing of 3 cameras on tank lorry so as to stop theft This suggestion was welcomed and Ed's promised that they will seek permission from explosives dept for the same and a sample will be done for further actions.
Grewal told that the limits problem was bought to the notice by National President Ashok Badhwar that credit customers are directly paying to company account hence deadline of Edfs are unable to be met by dealers hence there is a default in payments. The Omc's informed that they had meetings with SBI and in a week time the repayment period will be increased from 15 days to 30days hence default can be prevented.
Grewal said that Ashok Badhwar pointed out that low selling lubes are pushed to HPC dealers which creates huge loss to HPC dealers It was assured by Hpc ED Sri Prasad that he will stop this practice of pushing lubricants to the dealer in one month time.

After meeting In a press statement issued here today Grewal termed the Danish women gang rape as horrific and shameful and Devils Act. Grewal termed this case equally as heinous as Nirbhaya gang rape case in the capital last year. BJP expressed its disappointment over the tepid and non serious response of Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP ) Delhi Government. He said that waylaying, gagging, physically assaulting, raping a innocent and un-harmful Danish tourist in Delhi is a crime against humanity. Grewal stated that our Party Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) expressed its apology for this beastly Act. Delhi is shamed by this cowardly act stated Grewal to the Danish Ambassador Mr. Freddy Svane. Grewal told that the Ambassador of Denmark agreed with the BJP leaders concern on the disclosure of her ( victims ) name by Aam Aadmi Party Delhi Law Minister Mr. Somnath Bharti. Grewal said that both sides agreed that it is a violation of Indian Laws. The Danish Ambassador expressed his shock on this revelation in his meeting with the BJP leaders. He told the BJP delegation that he confronted the Delhi Minister Mr. Somnath Bharti on the issue in a telephonic talk. But the minister denied having done so despite it being in full public knowledge and on Indian TV screens. The Danish Ambassador stated that the victim is in a traumatized state of shock. He also confirmed that Denmark doctors have confirmed the rape. He had a word of special praise for Delhi Police for the speedy arrest of the culprits. BJP leaders assured the People of Denmark through the Danish Ambassador in Delhi, that justice shall be given to the victim. They also said that adequate pressure shall be exerted on the AAP led Delhi Government Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to give a serious Government response to this heinous crime committed in the capital and under his party rule in Delhi.

The Petrol Pump Dealers Association Punjab ( PPDAP ), at a conference held here today, asked the Punjab Government to reduce VAT from petroleum prices.
The Association led by Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal revealed that all neighbouring states had been charging less VAT than Punjab which is affecting the sale of petrol in Punjab. Paramjit Singh Doaba, president, PPDAP, informed that Haryana was charging 20.5 per cent, Himachal Pradesh was charging 24 per cent and Chandigarh had been charging 22 per cent VAT, whereas, Punjab had been charging 31 per cent VAT on petroleum.
“More than 1,800 petrol pumps are directly affected form this practice. We assure that the revenue collections of the government will not be affected if it reduces VAT from petroleum,” Doaba said.
Sukhmiderpal Singh, General Secretary of Federation of All India Petroleum Traders, demanded to exempt the property tax on petrol pumps.
The petrol pump owners opposed the move of the Forest Department of issuing notices to petrol pump owners to pay for land being used for entry of vehicles.
Grewal said, “When new petrol pump is opened, a NOC from the Forest Department is obtained after paying for the land to be used at entry points. The move is unjustified. The state government should intervene.”
