sometimes friendships are born out of the strangest of circumstances ... *smile*
We spotted this old motel along Route 66 in Tucumcari, NM. It was quite a colorful sight, and still open to welcome motorists. There was even a stuffed camel in the lobby! The only problem I had with this city was that whenever I used my iPhone to ask Siri about information, she interpreted it as “Two Come Carry”! The results were not helpful!
I have spent way to many nights in motels, with men that didn't dare take me home !!!

Loved this old motel on Route 66. The pink doors and the rusty Packard out front had such a 1950s vibe. It has lived as motel all these years, it's awesome to see it still going! It's like walking back in time.
