After drinking a nice cappuccino at an unexpected restaurant (we thought we were in the middle of nowhere!) we came across this impressive coast line. We had been looking for a place to do long exposures and so we spent about 2 hours at this spot. I never tire of watching waves crash onto a rocky shore!
The Outer Hebrides, and the Isle of Harris in particular, are out of this world. It feels like you are driving on the moon. Spectacular scenery!
As the last rays of day break through the dark clouds, two figures stroll hand in hand along a serene beach path, nestled among windswept dunes and the golden glow of a setting sun. It's a moment suspended between storm and serenity
Landscapes around Clophill Bedfordshire.. Clophill is a linear village with its High Street of three quarters of a mile lying between the River Flit valley to the south and the Greensand Ridge to the north. There is a secondary residential area mostly along Back Street. The village has developed by infill, but it used to be much more open with fields between the High Street and Back Street.
Clophill has a long history. There is evidence for a Roman road running east-west through the village. In the Domesday book of 1086, the village is called Clopelle, which means “tree-stump hill”. Near Top Farm at Beadlow, is the site of the Benedictine Priory of Beaulieu which was founded between 1140 and 1146 by Robert D'Albini. At Cainhoe Castle is the remains of a motte and bailey castle dating from the Norman Conquest.
Olde St Mary's Church was abandon when, St Mary's Church on the High Street, was built in a convincing Gothic style between 1848 and 1849, when the old church on the hill was too small to house the congregation.
Quiet afternoon stillness in the heart of Glencoe, where the land opens slowly into the valley and the clouds cling to the mountains. No drama — only the living breath of the Highlands.
Norway is a place of endless natural beauty. Incredible fjords, winding small roads, raw tunnels carved through the bedrock and so much more. These images are from summer road trips during 2024.

I was fortunate to benefit from some really murky weather amongst the hot dry days of early August.
Arriving around five in the morning, I set up at the Kit Kat Stones with a dark blue hour shot in mind, but the conditions were just a bit meh, so I opted to move on.
A while later a band of fine drizzle swept up the Burbage Valley setting up a moody backdrop for Carl Wark. As this happened the now rising sun sent an almost ethereal white glow under the low cloud base giving the whole scene a very other worldly feel.
