Today morning I was out with my friend to a distant fair. En route I liked the foggy environment around the road and here is what I clicked and worked on it a little. Hope you all like it.
A father carries his child on his shoulders, walking away from the blazing midsummer bonfire. Silhouetted against the bright flames, the scene captures the striking contrast between the power of fire and the fragility of human life.
A dramatic panorama of storm clouds over San Diego, rendered in black and white for bold tonal contrast. The dark silhouettes of trees anchor the horizon while radiant shafts of light break through the skythrough.
Jekyll Island, Georgia - January 1, 2023: Woman photographs a washed up driftwood tree on Driftwood Beach during a very foggy, hazy day
Captured on a cold morning as geothermal steam rose through the trees, this scene blends warmth and chill, light and shadow. Yellowstone.
This fine art black and white photograph, , captures the haunting beauty of a solitary leafless tree standing against a dramatic landscape.
The contrast and tonal range evoke a sense of mystery, solitude, and timelessness.

📍 Skógafoss – a waterfall that shows how powerful and graceful water can be as it crashes down Icelandic cliffs 🌊💚
I arrived just a tad too late to capture the full drama of the low cloud and upslope fog drifting down Upper Derwent Valley and over the Ashopton viaduct, but I felt it was worth getting a photograph of this scene as a souvenir shot for myself.

Heather Season 2024
I never really posted what would be considered a "proper" heather shot from the summer just gone and thus far I've not really joined the stream of autumnal colours and magical forest scenes either.
Plenty of photographs I saw this August were of foliage bathed in golden light, be that from the early risers or last chasers of the day's light. For me, the most profound experience I had of the heather in bloom was my hike up to Win Hill and along the brinks (Thornhill and Hope) on a blustery, steel grey, mood filled evening.
I particularly enjoy shooting these conditions because they seem to convey, in part; the dynamism of this landscape through the still medium of a photograph. I often remark I feel that pictures like this show oft idealised subjects in the context they're most often found, an environment that is harsh, one that is rugged and full of drama.
Whenever I visit this part of Snowdonia I almost always stay at Lodge Dinorwic situated on the hillside across the lake from Llanberis. Whilst it is a bunkhouse it is one with a distinctly modern style with private enclosed bunks with privacy curtains, and your own personal power and light source. They are not licensed but you may take your own tipple and the meals they do are delicious. All this at a very reasonable price.
As if that weren't enough, I have always enjoyed this view over the horns of Snowdon looking towards the peak especially when the setting sun gently kisses the clouds and hillside right from the car park of the lodge!

It is always great to get out into the Peak District and a couple of weeks ago it was no exception. The morning fog had started to lift and the sunlight was breaking through the woods. Perfect for some atmospheric work.
Through the rugged Adriatic rocks, a small island appears on the horizon, framed by storm clouds and restless waves.
A row of brightly colored beach huts stands out against the moody skies of Brittany.
Despite the looming storm, the scene is cheerful and full of character — a perfect example of the region's charm, where even grey skies can't dull the coastal spirit.

One of those rare moments when planning, timing, and nature all come together.
The full moon aligning perfectly with the crown of Christ the King statue in Świebodzin, Poland – a surreal and unforgettable scene.
Sunrise is, mercifully, not quite as early as in high summer but it still required an effort to leave the tent and make a 20 minute drive. Here, dawn was breaking over a beautiful, pastoral Exmoor scene silent save for the occasional neighing of the nearby ponies, Sunrises are often derided as photographic cliches but the experience on mornings such as this are to be treasured. #fuji #fujifilm_uk #fujifilm #fujilove #fujifilm_xseries #scenicbritain #explore_britain #landscapes_of_Britain #ukscenery #moodylandscapes #dramaticlandscapes #photosoftheuk #ig_britishisles #landscape_captures #landscape_photography #landscapephotomag #photooftheday #picoftheday #igdaily #instadaily #discoverlandscape #exmoor #exmoorphotography #sunrise #dawnphoto, #dawn

This image was created by Duncan Rawlinson at a well-known desert location—only he turned away from the usual view. While most photographers faced the iconic scene, this moment unfolded quietly in the opposite direction: textured sandstone under gathering clouds, a single weathered tree, and the warm glow of dusk slipping beneath a dramatic sky. It's a reminder to pause, slow down, and always look behind you. Sometimes, the strongest photographs are found when you least expect them—just out of frame.
This was taken just as I stepped out of the car. I have heard it called "the safety shot" in case there was nothing left by the time I got properly set up.
The processing was done in Topaz labs mostly to darken the sky in Lens effect pro, I had no filter on yet. Also warm filter applied to warm it up a bit.
I ventured to Sylvan Lake at sunrise only to be greeted by an unexpectedly moody morning. Thirty minutes later, at Stockade Lake, it was sunny! But I enjoyed the drama, with gloomy clouds lurking over the rocky landscape across the water, and mist over the lake...
