We are the Robots dut-di-di-dut!

Make Noise and Love :)

4 mushroomBrain and TRANSVESTITEstallion and ART!!!

- Hey hurry up they are catching up on you...

- I know but that quadruped is consuming Liza Alive, got to save her...

- Watch out dave you have a crawler breaching the fence defense!

- I see him Bones *Blam* *Blam*!!!

- Hey Luara hang on there I am here with the med-pack I will restore you a nudge as long as the fellows keep the Zombie-horde at stake...

- Hey don´t shoot them all, I want to trash some with my mighty experimental Blow-hammer, I wan´t to see their ugly circuits break in close-up close combat...

- Hey Ladder Carrier don´t fall carry on climbing you are making an obstacle out of your self...

- Hey I wouldn´t fall if you were not holding the ladder like it was a half, cooked piece of spaghetti...

- Both of you stop talking or you will all end us like Liza...

- Hey show her some respect, she is not dead yet, I have almost reached her... Take this nasty Z-bot *blam* *blam*!!!

With each pattern that I write, it seems to take me more space to convey the same amount of information. This pattern set contains over 90 photos and diagrams!

I like to think that this means that I'm making clearer patterns, but it could just be pattern bloat!! :)

I found this old Transformer toy recently. He is 'Cosmos' (from 1985) and transforms into a flying saucer...

- Eh Irena, when I told you to put the Autopilot on the Capital Planet, could it have been that it was not reconfigured on the New Capital planet??? Since I notice a slight overweight of mechanical beings on this landing sight!!!

- oh Dear Gray I am so embarrassed, I though that brat, eh I mean your son hade done the reconfiguration, he is the wiz-kid after all…

so will our heroes survive? The mass of the swarming mechanoids weight the spacecraft down and they are taken captives, will they survive!!!

Gotta do some more of these little bots.

Miniature robot. DH's tiny toy I found at an op-shop.

The background is made from pieces of cardboard, sections from a defunct little humidifier, toilet paper rolls, parts of CPAP tubing, empty medicine containers, and soda caps.

I had a foil wrapped piece of cardboard that I used to bounce light.

I love using these pieces in different manners.

One of my favortie characters as a kid, I'm so glad Hasbro revisited him and made some sort of "ultimate" Powerglide figure.

I totally repainted him to match the animated look and I also panel lined all the details, which looks great on jets of any kind! And if you add the great sculpt, he now looks absolutely accurate.

Masterpiece style Warpath from the third-party toy maker, BadCube. Pictured in robot mode.

Wardog (OTS-04), as he's officially called, is an excellent MP style homage to the G1 Autobot. While not as small as his minibot friends, he scales well with the other MP Autobots.

His design and engineering are quite amazing, but it is a bit tough to get him between modes. Lots of tabs and hinges to deal with.

He does come with a gun and shield that aren't pictured.

Por si fuera suficiente con Danbo, con la pandilla de Domokuns, los Legos y algún que otro robot huérfano hoy han invadido la casa una auténtica legión de gamberretes en forma de androides... sospecho que va a ser un verano muy calentito...

These are the only four survivors from the Minibot Action Team, produced by the brand Troll in 1994. I'm desperately seeking the remainder of the team!

A mecha... or a mini-bot depending on your point-of-view.

Man, this past years Legends figures have been really amazing. I wasn't impressed at first, I mean, that IDW-ish Optimus and that Bumblebee weren't catching my attention and larger bots like Starscream and Megatron and Optimus in that scale....ehhhhh, but then these came along and well, using this scale for toys that were already pretty small just always worked for me. It sure did in that previous, even more simple Legends run but these, slightly bigger and more articulated little guys are great. Sure, they aren't as great as some 3rd Party figures but at this price point, I can't complain.

My first foray into these new pieces was Cosmos. I always loved little Cosmos and his UFO alt-mode so I just HAD to get this version so when I got him he just blew me away. After looking at a few reviews I just HAD to get Shrapnel (or Skrapnel as he's called now) and that was even better. Same scale toy as the G1 figure but way more awesome. After that it was Swerve and Tailgate, and while people don't seem to love Tailgate's toy here, I totally fell in love. It's so CUTE! And aside from some arm articulation issues, I think he's very poseable. Swerve doesn't have the best leg design (I would have liked ball and socket jointed knees for a faux-thigh swivel) but his arms are very articulated and that face...what a handsome smile!

Their partners are a mixed bag though with Reflector and Groundbusterer being some of the weaker robot and weapon modes. Payload and Flanker however look okay in their robot modes while maintaining a very basic transformation, but Flanker and Payload have a slightly more interesting gun mode...well, Flanker does though Payload has a nice gun barrel reveal with the legs sliding up but I can see why they will be dropping the targetmaster partner thing in later releases.

I really am looking forward to the Windcharger and Gears releases as well as the new Powerglide. Apparently Huffer will be repurposing the Optimus Prime figure...which might be more fitting though I would have liked a new try for Huffer from scratch. I expect Pipes, if they decide to try him, to do the same. Hopefully we see a new Brawn/Outback release and maybe a new Beachcomber and Wheelie to help round out the minibots in 2015.

what I did at work today...
