This is possibly the last of these Realtoy Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models which I bought vast quantities of when they first appeared at Tesco back in August 2016. It was unusual to discover a brand new casting from this underrated diecast brand which even back then had retrenched itself almost completely out of the general U.K. market. A smart looking fully licensed model with all the usual Realtoy hallmarks of accuracy and great detailing for a budget price! Mint and boxed.
Kruse seem to have taken over most, if not all, of the Movia operations on the island of Lolland, using two garages, one at Maribo and the other at Nakskov. Here we are at Maribo Station.

The colours and the design at the roof of this minibus made me think it could be a former Syntus bus from the Netherlands. The VIN ends in 0726.

Another excellent and highly underrated Realtoy Mercedes-Benz Sprinter model which was available from Tesco from August 2016 right up until a few weeks ago when this brand was finally replaced by the same generic HTI castings you can find in pretty much every other U.K. retailer who sells toys! Licensed, realistic with a reassuring weighty feel its budget diecast at its best and which could have easily being available in other colours and liveries too. Mint and boxed.

The original Realtoy Mercedes-Benz Sprinter casting never really had a long life at Tesco before being replaced by HTI generics back in 2017. It was one of those rare brand new Realtoy models and for the sub Mattel prices was amazingly well detailed and cast even if it did only get just one colour scheme.
Its spirit lives in this all plastic copy made by Peng Rong which shouldn't be dismissed as being totally naff on account of it actually looking pretty realistic.
Naturally its unlicensed but theres no mistaking its origins especially its side panels which look remarkably deeply sculptured.

I'm no expert in regional or international Police liveries but I do hope that this particular one is meant to represent something U.K. based. Calum, any ideas mate?
For a Siku, this Mercedes-Benz Sprinter based casting was actually reasonably cheap when bought as part of a three vehicle set. Unbelievably this is actually an unlicensed casting which probably saves Siku some money yet apart from the lack of badging it is 100% Sprinter! Nothing has been done to alter its origins and for that i'm thankful, just a very robust and well cast model with better than expected wheels and a full metal body.
