Guiding a MechnoBeast across the salt flats was a hideous business. Slow, plodding steps, day and night. Constant breakdowns due to the wind eroding away components. Eternal loneliness on the multi-week treks. And if that power core failed more than a day's walk from either end of the journey, well you would become yet another rust heap on endless horizon. That is until the salt carried by the winds ate through you and everything that was left of your mount. Many who completed their first journey would never cross again, but to some it beat the constant risks of Piracy along the Charian River. No one was stupid enough to start a fight in the flats. One errant shot and everyone would be starving in the flats together.
This build ended up having a bit more story inspiration behind it as the MOC developed to a final state this month after being left half finished this summer. Originally this was meant for the New Elementary Lantern contest, hence the prominent usage, but I quite like how it evolved beyond that. C&C Welcome!

The planet Portent VII was famous for just one sign. Strangely the celebrity came not from what was written on the sign (something about picking up the droppings and/or corpses left by pet bugblatter beasts). The vast majority of visitors came to see the back of the sign, which was a physically impossible conjunction of pieces.
The Ovlov-X was borne out of a need for something with an extra-strong hull to withstand the pressures of roving on Gas-Giants. Suffice it to say the engineers managed this with aplomb.

What do you think?
Blitz project/requested design. Not up-to-par with previous high-resolution endeavors, but still a good exercise.
I couldn't think of any way to use this guy in a scene and still show off the curves properly so here is the next best thing. Started as a straight modeling of this model by Paul Pepera but I decided to branch away from the tug design partway through. I used the dual bumpers from the linked renders as a basis for the Guppy mod.
I have been trying to figure out other things to stick on the front of this vehicle. An arm could work but I have a lot of those already. Also, this model seats a minifigure with ample room for a headpiece too.
And the stern is the centerpiece here
The model has gotten too big (over 1000 piece) for me to get free renders with Mecabricks so screenshots is the best I'm going to get. I'm 75% done maybe, but the last 25% is proving to be difficult. I've been stuck here for a couple weeks now, not sure how to shape the cockpit. I'm debating to just start ordering parts for what is designed and figure out the cockpit with the real brick. The angles and shaping that I think I want to go for is hard to visualize in the computer model for me. We'll see. Any suggestions welcome.

I like the creative fun (and careful construction) that is Colin Furze's YouTube channel. Often Colin's disregard for his safety makes me wonder if he's a former employee of the Llwyngwril Systems Vehicle Design Department. I thought I would make a quick Hibernia build to procrastinate from the other 4+ builds I am "working on".
I've made the model public on Mecabricks. View it here!
Somehow, something not so inventive and very Cyberpunk-ey...
Obsession to use part no. 98834 as the car's front splitter eventually got me, but it was not as good in my hands as I thought it would be. Had some fun nevertheless =)
Long after the last humans have perished, and with them the supply of dairy, and eventually the stores of cheese, one little mouse skitters above ground and onto a relic of the planet's former rulers. He takes one last glimpse at the final known source of cheese, high above the planet, so close yet so far.
Built for vignweek day 3, theme was post apocalypse!
C&C Welcome

All right men, we’ve arrived. That strange thing looking like a comet is your new home and place of work for several months. No, that’s not a comet. That’s EFS Asimov, ore processing ship, and this dusty tail is a cloud of waste. We are getting closer and you can see how big this ship is. Do you see those claws and arms at the bottom? Now they are empty, but when Asimov sees some good asteroid full of iron nearby, she can crush and eat it herself. Now swarms of mining drones and transport ships are delivering ore to Asimov’s hangars. Yes, it looks like giant steel hive. See those spinning things? They are ore mills, crushing pieces of rock into dust. Then ore is separated from waste, enriched and prepared in other ways to become high quality steel. Can you see those four melting facilities? They are making steel plates, beams, tubes… all you want. And that is stored in those huge containers. Soon another cargo ship will take a couple of them. Hey, look at the engines. They are massive! If waste goes through their exhaust, it begins to glow. Now engines aren’t working, but you must see it! Let’s look at another side now. Yes, yes. That’s hydroponics. How many mining ships has it? But we have! You can take a rest after a long day in one of these little artificial gardens. We care about our employees. Anyway, we are going to dock, so our improvised excursion is over.

I built this TIE a couple years ago as part of a Christmas contest, so I went back, recolored it, and made a hangar diorama for it. Enjoy!

Perfect for checking light bulbs in the roofs of tall hangars.

I thought that I'd include the underpinnings and not rely on LDD anti-grav for this build.
As always, a big "Thank you" to Crimso for inspiring Febrovery and hosting the group. Merci Crimso: c'est toujours très amusant et inspirant!
Cockpit's a bit smol and a bit familiar looking?
Looks fast though.
Props to Crimso Giger's Red Fury
for the wing inspiration :)

What d'you think of my Vic Viper?
Anakin's Jedi Starfighter (2003 style)
A continuation of my hypothetical 2003 Lego era Star Wars: Clone Wars set wave idea.
This is essentially a modified version of the 7143: Jedi Starfighter set. Tweaked using existing pieces from 2003 to make a hypothetical idea of what Anakin's Jedi Starfighter would have looked like.
I wasn't able to add decals on the bow pieces in mecabricks, so had to add some in Photoshop.
A strange, hybrid machine: part mechanical, part cnidarian. These fast-flying objects are fitted with crude metal seats and flown around the sandy isles and atolls of the planet Slefrod. The seas of this planet teem with life, much of it carnivorous and hungry for passing snacks.

A digital build, just for fun, in LDD and rendered in Mecabricks. It was inspired by the Tropical Island Racing theme in the Lego Speeder Bikes group.
I think that all of the flames would stick in real-life but would perhaps have to add an extra 1x1 round plate with a hole to each cone to make it work. I like how they look like the tentacles that trail below most jellyfish.
Slefrod mor is the Welsh word for jellyfish and not pysgod wibli-wobli (sadly!).
This is my entry for the @digilug contest. The theme of this monthly challenge was "street market". I wanted first to build a chinese street market, but finally changed my idea while building it! (~1 hour build). I hope you like it! ;)
Many of us have our paternal figures to thank for our Lego Hobby. Let's make sure to wish them an extra special father's day!
A proof of aerodynamic modern COE truck concept with small bits of inspiration from Tesla Semi, so I thought it was only natural to make it electric too - hence the name.
Features the reversed chassis, just like the previous two Tiny Turbos here, and it seems to be quite a tendency at this point...
This quad bike and trailer were a popular combination for the astronauts of Classic Space. With better power and ground clearance than the 886, it also featured a tow hook.
With the new decade also came a new series of procurement orders from the army and air service. In a stunning defeat, the procurement board selected upstart firm: Avilov's entry, marking the first time the state firm, Ishkov had lost a bid. Suffice it to say, Avilov's offices were raided by unkown gunmen only a week afterward.

Some people call us marauders, scavengers. That’s close to the truth. It’s our job. Sometimes space ships break. And they can’t always be repaired. Too much damage. Too far from inhabited systems. We are looking for abandoned starships and disassemble them. Even if the ship exploded, there are still some valuable parts that can be sold. But they explode very rarely. Usually ships die because of malfunction of couple of systems. The other ones stay undamaged. We cut out the most valuable parts. It’s impossible to take everything we want. Just those things that can fit into the hold and external containers. So the profit isn’t very big. And do not forget about risks. Abandoned ship is a dangerous place. Something unexpected can happen anytime. So, why do we do it? Because someone has to take back those resources. Miners dug ore. Than the metal was made. Electronics. The ship was assembled. We just trying to make this work not worthless if the ship dies. And get some money.
Some guys call it the 'S-Cargo'
Even though it has no storage space...
So Meta.

Ready to enter 2021?
2020 has been an amazing year regarding my LEGO builds. Beginning of this year, I took part on my very first exhibition (LEGO World 2020 in Copenhagen) where I had the chance to display two of my BIG (Bjarke Ingels) MOC's. Also, I've got 2 projects on LEGO Ideas who reached 10k in only a few weeks! On March I've opened up my instagram account and after less than a year more than 5 000 peole followed this account! That's is completely insane, so many thanks for all your support! And I'm sure 2021 will be also very productive. I wish you all a happy new year, see you in 2021 ;)
Where we're going, we don't need roads.
Oh wait.
Yes Roy.
You'll have to wait.

Well that all got a bit out of hand. especially the melt-ray to glue down the macadam sections and the green laser spirit levels.
Something a little more sober tomorrow I think.

October is the Month of Jungle, so after Tahu's display base built for the Month of Fire, I've decided to build a display base for Lewa (although it might be too small for Lewa and more appropriate for a Protector).
5934: Dino explorer
I know I said I was talking a break before starting Dino island. But I was tinkering with a few designs and ended up revamping the Dino explorer set.
My original version back in 2019 was a bit small. And I felt the design needed to be beefed up a bit more, so I made an entirely different base for the tracks, tweaked and repurposed the car design from the mummy's tomb set and made a far better version of the Dino explorer. It's pretty dieselpunk in design.
The Pterodactyl design has also been tweaked. The original version I made used sail pieces for the wings. But they were pretty awkward looking because you can't really manipulate them in mecabricks, just merge them onto other parts.
This one uses plates to make up the wings, and they do a fairly decent enough job.
The palm tree makes another guest appearance. And will probably never leave my 'useful flora' files 😂
My first entry for the Unleash your own genetically modified hybrid dinosaur! contest on LEGO IDEAS.
It's (obviously), an hybrid between the ankylosaurus (actually my ankylosaurus) and the triceratops. You can see the 3D model on Mecabricks.
The base was inspired by the Irregular SNOT Base Tutorial by -soccerkid6.
7419: Dragon fortress
The wait is finally over. And the Orient Expedition comes to an end.
Dragon Fortress was probably one of the most complex builds in terms of detailing. The structure itself is relatively simple.
The main inspiration came from the Tuancheng Fortress in terms of the base and style. Using a lot of the architecture and colours to make the dragon fortress.
I so wished mecabricks had the printed tiles from the Chinese New year sets. It would have added the perfect amount of detail around the columns.
I ditched the colours of the original set and added more greens, blues and gold. Which is more real world accurate.
The interior is somewhat detailed. The main hall features two vases and a mysterious jade chest.
Up above sits the armoury, where the golden helmet sits.
I did include the wheelhouses in this revamp. The unlocking feature is different to the original. It's just two latches that move when you rotate the wheels and then take the statue section out.
Speaking of statues, the guardian is indeed a terracotta warrior (a little real world reference there).
And after unlocking the doors we finally get to see the golden dragon. Originally I had made a smaller version that used the same head as this one. But it was a bit too skinny, so I made a slightly larger version that fits in there if you move the tail in.
The golden dragon of course had to be a Chinese dragon design. There's a lot of mixel joints involved but I think it turned out well. Speaking of gold I actually switched to the metallic gold colour for this set as it looks a lot more vibrant than the pearl gold.
The half track is a hybrid of a few of my old expedition vehicles. In a nice dark green.
And that truly is the end of the Adventurers revamp series. I'm glad to see it's had such positive feedback and I hope this final set did not disappoint

What would she make of his new ride?

This plopped out nearly fully formed after playing around with those weird vertical bracket/wheel-arch pieces.
Pretty pleased with how things have resolved.
Don't hate on me for the extended welding pipe!
