I was playing with using slopes at different angles to get unusual angles and this spaceship appeared. I don't know if all of the azure pieces exist in reality but I thought that it was a nice colour combination. I thought that the fins looked like fox ears and four was the number that I could fit on both sides: hence the name.
My first build for the Speed Champions 2323 collab.
The McLaren Solus from the Speed Champions set 76918 has such a crazy look that it almost looks more like a spaceship than a car. That's what inspired the Speed Champions 2323 collab.
The goal is to reuse some of the new Speed Champions pieces in a racing ship, so I took some parts from the Solus (the windscreen, the new wedges 3388 and 3389, the new modified plate 3386 (in the engines)) to build this spaceship.
I had a rough idea of what the model would look like, but didn't have the parts, so, as often, I first designed the engines with Mecabricks (thankfully they were strong enough once built physically). Then I've built a cockpit prototype with some parts I had and used stud.io to finish the cockpit and design the stand. I knew I wanted to link the cockpit and the engine with a truss structure, but my first idea was a bit more simple, with only three links on each side of the cockpit, and more fragile.
Y'know - Fast spacecraft designed to go faster than the others, sponsored by evil corporations...

Inspired by the work of Ian McQue and other people who have been inspired by him.
Trying to reproduce organic shapes. Not 100% happy with this one, the head is a bt short, almost looks like a bear.

Created in LDD and then converted into Mecabricks and rendered in Blender 2.9. I hope you like it!
I began working on this about a year ago, I finished it last September, and now I've finished the building instructions, which you can buy on Rebrickable. You can also see the 3D model on Mecabricks.
The model is made of 1148 elements, measures 62 studs in length, 22 studs in width (the road itself is 10 studs wide, enough so that the cart from the Medieval Blacksmith can easily pass), and 8 bricks tall (or 19,5 x 6,8 x 2,9 in / 49,6 x 17,3 x 7,4 cm).
I'm uploading renders because due to the model's length it's more convenient than to take pictures, but I've built it physically myself before making the instructions.
Operable on land or underwater, the Nykra Alpha series is a reliable workhorse for single operator transport.
This is the 7th entry in my monthly series of speeders built using retired (legacy) Lego colors. This model uses Royal Blue, Dark Grey, Transparent Fluorescent Yellow, & Sand Red.

Leaf insects and stick insects are well-known for their ability to camouflage in the forests, but recently an even more elusive species of insect has been discovered : a butterfly with wings that mimic tree leaves, with a pattern that changes season after season, so it stays camouflaged all year long.
The model shows how the butterfly looks in spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Each version of the butterfly uses about 85 pieces, and the complete model is made of 471 pieces. Each butterfly has its own independent display base, so they can be arranged in different ways.

This is a digital model (you can see it on Mecabricks) but I can and will certainly build it physically, regardless of the results of the contest.
Rebuilt it to have a door I can open. Unfortunately it's just not made in a way for me to get a sliding door like the real one.
It's been a while since I've done a true Star Wars model. Here's my first TIE!
Based on the TIE Seeker model by Elliot Davis on Artstation, and the bulk of the cockpit shaping is from Inthert. Unfortunately the triangle tiles on the s-foils were flipped around in Mecabricks and I didn't notice until it was too late.
I hope to build this model IRL, but the high Bricklink price tag makes me want to find a solution for the more expensive parts first.

The height of Opsidian power sits atop Mount Opsido—the empire's only free-standing mountain. Dark, angular, and breathtaking, the fortress bears the name Montravelle.

First off, yes. This is a digital build. And huge, huge thanks to Renderbricks for helping me out with the gorgeous render! :D But don't express "Aw, if only it could be done with real bricks!" disappointment yet. All of these parts (excluding the guard's fancy dark orange scarf and his slightly modified head) exist in these colors. Although it is tempting to give in to infinite possibilities, establishing an "only what exists" limit—outside of minifigures—challenges me personally to work with what I have and gives me a nice warm feeling that this could actually be built physically.
Now here's the part where I tell you buying that amount of bright green off of BL is extremely difficult. But it's the principle of the thing that counts. ;)

Regarding the build itself, my main goal since beginning the project has always been to take some of the famed "staleness" out of the castle genre. I incorporated a more unique style of architecture inspired by two builds of mine from five years ago. Very gothicky and mainly achieved thanks to those delectable pteranodon jaw parts. Also experimented with a more unique layout that flowed with the landscape instead of cutting through it. My favorite part overall, though, is the contrast in color and shape between building and mountain, which I think makes the MOC pop the most. So when all is said and done, I hope Montravelle at least qualifies as a fresh take on the old theme.
And that's about it.
Just one big fortress from a one-time imagined fantasy world once to be admired and never to be returned to again . . .
. . . unless this could also be the start of something bigger.
A Vic Viper built for DigiLUG's November Monthly Challenge. The theme was Legacy Colours, and it's actually quite hard to make a cohesive colour scheme with only colours that hadn't been used in the past 10 years.
The idea of using brick separators comes from an earlier WIP from this summer.

A design of small, fast and highly manoeuvrable space pods. The little ships featured panels that could be extended or retracted as needed. These mirco-ships proved a cheap and popular solution for many pilots across the galactic disc.

The shape and colour of this spacecraft was inspired by a design by Laurent Palmier on Artstation. if you enjoy colourful spaceship then his work very well worth going to look at.
I've built this model for the "Build From the Heart" Challenge on LEGO IDEAS.
And this build actually does come from my heart. I've built very freely, while listening to love songs (or more generally songs about love) - I generally have a more "serious" and focused approach when I build Lego creations.
Technique-wise, it's very simple. I think the most complex bit is the pair of foldable feet, that let you display the model on a shelf.
Also I initially wanted to have brick-built silhouettes, but I ultimately thought minifigures would be a better choice as they can be easily customized (the model provides various hair pieces), or replaced by figures that look like you or your loved one.

Built for the the LEGO House: 20,000 Bricks Under the Sea challenge on Lego Ideas.
I'd previously tinkered with a dirona design in Mecabricks and had wanted to create a character to match. Nudibranchs and other small sea creatures have lots of unique shapes and body features that I thought would be interesting to translate into a humanoid character. The ocean-themed challenge on Lego Ideas—with a chance for entries to be displayed at the Lego House—was the spark I needed to start working on this scene.

The Llwyngwril Systems' Tumbler was an almost perfect solution to back-flips, front-flips and staircases (take note Daleks!). Sadly it was still not proof against angry aliens from Pluto trying to push you over sideways.

I've checked and there's enough clearance for the central part to spin all around. It'll be interesting to build a real one and see how it rolls down a staircase!
