Built with WPA aid at a cost of $344,919, this courthouse was completed in 1943. Although it is a more recent construction, it holds true to the classical style of Kentucky's county capitols.
Paducah, located on the Ohio River just south of Illinois, is the largest city in the Jackson Purchase region of the Blue Grass State.

They're just so curious...and so darn cute. It's hard for me to get mad at them...
but I do when they eat my hostas!!
"White-tailed deer mate in November in the northern parts of their range and in January or February in the southern parts of their range. The female has one to three fawns after about six months after mating. Fawns are reddish-brown at birth with white spots that help camouflage them. They can walk at birth and forage for food a couple of days later. They are weaned at about six weeks." -http://www.nhptv.org

McCrackens Rest is a lookout and rest area on the Southern Scenic Route overlooking Te Wae Wae Bay. Perched on the edge of the cliff you can enjoy commanding views out to sea, right across the bay to the hump ridge and mountains beyond.
One of those places everyone must pause their journey to take a moment to take in the views, and of course to take that classic travellers' photo in front of the sign.
The name "oystercatcher" is something of a misnomer for this species, because they seldom eat oysters, which are found mainly on rocky coastlines. Pied Oystercatchers frequent sandy coastlines, where they feed mainly on bivalve molluscs, which are prised apart with their specially adapted bill.
