His sons were Jabal, Jubal, and Tubal Cain. Josephus says he had 77 sons. The earliest recorded poem in the Bible is by him, supposed to have been an exhaultation over the invention of the sword.

J.K. KERR
James Kirkpatrick Kerr 1841-1916
The Lodge was named after Senator J. K. Kerr who was a DDGM the year Kerr Lodge 230 was incorporated. He subsequently went on to become Grand Master.
The following Biography was provided by W. Bro. David Lawrence, Ionic Lodge, No. 25 GRC, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
James Kirkpatrick Kerr was born near Guelph, Ontario, on August 1, 1841, the son of Robert Warren Kerr (City Chamberlain of Hamilton) and Jane Hamilton Kirkpatrick (daughter of James Kirkpatrick, County Treasurer of Wentworth County). He was educated at the Galt Grammar School (Dr. Tessie’s).
In 1864 he married Anne Margaret Blake, the daughter of the Hon. W. H. Blake, Chancellor of College University). There is no record of any children and his wife died in 1882. In December 1883 he married Cecil Staveley Pinhorne (who would be the President of the Women’s Welcome Hostel in 1908). She was the niece of the Right Honourable Staveley Hill, QC, of London, England.
James Kirkpatrick Kerr became a barrister in 1862 and a bencher of the Law Society in 1879, being named as a QC in 1874. He practiced with Messrs Blake, both of who were active in law and politics, Edward Blake as an MP from 1867 onwards and Samuel Blake as a judge. In 1885 he became a partner in Kerr, Macdonald, Davidson and Paterson. He was a member of the Liberal Party and was President of the Liberal Association. The Governor-General, Earl Minto, called him to the Senate on March 12, 1893. On January 16, 1896 he was named as Speaker of the Senate and in 1911 he was created a Privy Councillor of Canada.
He was an Anglican and served as a delegate to both the Diocesan and Provincial Synods.
He was active in civic affairs and was one of the founders of the Havergal Ladies College in Toronto. He was also a Director of the Canadian General Electric Company.
He was present at the Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911 and was presented to their Majesties in June 1911.
M. W. Bro. James Kirkpatrick Kerr, KC, died at his home in the city of Toronto on December 4, 1916, after a long illness.
MASONIC CAREER:
James Kirkpatrick Kerr was initiated into Ionic Lodge, No. 25 GRC, Toronto in 1865 and served as WM. He was elected as DDGM in 1874 and later appointed as Grand Representative for the Grand Lodges of Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas and Utah. He was elected Deputy Grand Master at the nineteenth Annual Communication in July 1874 when M. W. Bro. William Mercer Wilson was elected as Grand Master (for his tenth term). [Note: and R. W. Bro. Thomas Bird Harris was elected for his twentieth successive term as Grand Secretary, although he died shortly afterwards.] On January 16, 1875, M. W. Bro. Wilson passed to the Grand Lodge above and R. W. Bro. Kerr assumed the duties of that office for the next six months. He was 34 years of age at the time. At the Annual Communication in July 1875, he was elected as Grand Master and re-elected in July 1876.
One of the first challenges facing the new Grand Master concerned the request for a Warrant of the brethren interested in forming a new Lodge in London, to be called Eden. Opposition from other Lodges in the area resulted in the issue of a Dispensation to meet but when Eden Lodge attempted to initiate a candidate M. W. Bro. Kerr instructed the Grand Secretary to immediately write to the Lodge and prohibit the meeting as exceeding the authority granted by the Grand Master. In a welter of bad feeling the WM and members of Eden Lodge established the - Grand Lodge of Ontario - with Eden Lodge as a founder. The Grand Master then summarily suspended all members of Eden Lodge, including some dissatisfied members of legitimate Lodges who had joined Eden. Recognition by the Grand Lodge of Texas was almost immediately withdrawn and no other Grand Lodge extended recognition, most have concluded that the move was irregular and revolutionary, spurious and unconstitutional. The issue of Eden Lodge and the -Grand Lodge of Ontario- would not be resolved until 1879-80.
A second challenge was also posed in 1875 when three Lodges in Manitoba District, after mature reflection of the needs of Freemasonry in their new Province, formed a new Grand Lodge. As noted by W. S. Herrington, ?The Grand Lodge of Canada, upon the recommendation of the Board of General Purposes, extended due recognition to the new western star in the Masonic firmament.
YORK RITE:
In Capitular Masonry he was a Royal Arch Mason.
He was a member of the Sovereign Great Priory of Canada and had been Provincial Grand Prior. He visited England and helped to secure the recognition of the Great Priory of England and Wales, as well as its consent, to the establishment of the Sovereign Great Priory of Canada as an independent and sovereign body. For his work in this endeavour he received the Grand Cross of the Temple from the Great Priory of England and Wales at the hands of the then Great Prior, HM King Edward VII.
SCOTTISH RITE:
He was a member of the Scottish Rite and was a Grand Inspector General, 33.

What is the Elf Fantasy Fair?
EFF, as we also call it, is a two days music festival with (pagan or celtic) folk bands, medieval bands, gothic bands; on one of the two stages or as a walking act.
EFF is also an event with a lot of shows: jousting, battles, fire shows, horse shows, parades.
And EFF is also an event where you can join all kind of dance workshops (on Irish dance, or balfolk dance or even the Maori Haku dance); or where you can listen to lectures on heraldry, roman & greek cookery, fantasy moviemaking; or where you just enjoy the stories of the best storytellers.
But the best thing about EFF is that two third of the visitors have transformed themselves into orcs, magicians, vampires, elves, manga comic heroes, or a cross over of all this. Think about the carnival of Venice, but then with even far more creativity in costumes.
In September there is the EFF in the amazing and magical castle gardens of castle Arcen, with rocky hills, waterfalls and a 17th century rosarium. Arcen is located on the german-dutch border between Venlo and Mönchengladbach.

Black-winged Kite
The black-winged kite (Elanus caeruleus) is a small diurnal bird of prey in the family Accipitridae best known for its habit of hovering over open grasslands in the manner of the much smaller kestrels. This Eurasian and African species was sometimes combined with the Australian black-shouldered kite (Elanus axillaris) and the white-tailed kite (Elanus leucurus) of North and South America which together form a superspecies. This kite is distinctive, with long-wings, white, grey and black plumage and owl like forward-facing eyes with red irises. Although mainly seen on the plains, they are sometimes seen on grassy slopes of hills in the higher elevation regions of Asia. They are not migratory, but make short-distance movements in response to weather.
This long-winged raptor is predominantly grey or white with black shoulder patches, wing tips and eye stripe. The long falcon-like wings extend beyond the tail when the bird is perched. In flight, the short and square tail is visible and it is not forked as in the typical kites of the genus Milvus. When perched, often on roadside wires, it often adjusts its wings and jerks its tail up and down as if to balance itself. The sexes are alike in plumage. Their large forward-facing eyes and velvety plumage are characters that are shared with owls and the genus itself has been considered as a basal group within the Accipitridae.
The black-winged kite is a species primarily of open land and semi-deserts in sub-Saharan Africa and tropical Asia, but it has a foothold within Europe in Spain and Portugal. The species range appears to be expanding in southern Europe and possibly in West Asia.
Their prey includes grasshoppers, crickets and other large insects, lizards and rodents. Injured birds, small snakes and frogs have also been reported. The black-winged kite flies slowly during hunting like a harrier, but it will also hover like a Kestrel. It has on rare occasions been known to hunt prey in flight. Perches are used for hunting and for feeding but large prey may sometimes be handled on the ground.

Governor of Florida Jeb Bush at TurboCam, Barrington, New Hampshire on August 7th by Michael Vadon Part 1 of 4
CONCORD, N.H. —Less than a day after the first debate of the GOP primary, former Florida governor Jeb Bush is back in New Hampshire campaigning.
Less than a day after the first debate of the GOP primary, former Florida governor Jeb Bush is back in New Hampshire campaigning.
At a town hall Friday night in Barrington, Bush spoke about how he won't campaign with anger and instead spoke a lot about policy.
He started his day at Brown's Lobster Pound in Seabrook. After greeting voters -- trying a lobster roll -- Bush told reporters he plans to campaign hard on and off the debate stage between now and the primaries.
"I think I did fine (in the debate). I am who I am," Bush said.
He's declining to criticize his Republican rivals, including Donald Trump, who refused to pledge support to the party's eventual nominee. Instead, Bush says he's focused on sharing his record as governor with voters and letting people get to know who he is.
"So you take advantage of opportunities when you have them, speak from your heart," Bush said. "I don't view this debating as question of winning or losing. It's the cumulative effect of shaping peoples opinion of who you are over the long haul."
Bush said Democrats' attacks against him show he is the candidate they fear most.
"Let me think why they would be. Because maybe it's because they consider me the biggest threat," Bush said.

John Ellis "Jeb" Bush (born February 11, 1953) is an American businessman and politician who served as the 43rd Governor of Florida from 1999 to 2007.
Bush is the second son of former President George H. W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush, and the younger brother of former President George W. Bush, grandson of the late Prescott Sheldon Bush, American Banker and United States Senator from Connecticut. He grew up in Houston, Texas. He graduated from the Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts and attended the University of Texas, where he earned a degree in Latin American affairs. Following his father's successful run for Vice President in 1980, he moved to Florida and pursued a career in real estate development. In 1986, Bush was named Florida's Secretary of Commerce, a position he held until his resignation in 1988 to help his father's successful campaign for the Presidency.
In 1994, Bush made his first run for office, narrowly losing the election for governor by less than two percentage points to the incumbent Lawton Chiles. Bush ran again in 1998 and defeated Lieutenant Governor Buddy MacKay with 55 percent of the vote. He ran for reelection in 2002 and won with 56 percent to become Florida's first two-term Republican governor. During his eight years as governor, Bush was credited with initiating environmental improvements, such as conservation in the Everglades, supporting caps for medical malpractice litigation, moving Medicaid recipients to private systems, and instituting reforms to the state education system, including the issuance of vouchers and promoting school choice.
Bush is a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 2016 presidential election.
