Along with the main deity in most of the temples, devotees worship the Sthala vrikshas (sacred tree) and attach religious significance to the sacred trees.

Over time devotees have developed strong feelings and faith in these trees and they do not distinguish between the main deity and the sthala vriksha.

Women who aspire for a child tie a cradle to the tree and the Red/Yellow cloth and threads have their own significance.

O Espetáculo é uma colagem de números de grandes Musicais do mundo.

I used Picasa to create this collage of Jim's daughter Lauren mugging for her baby Hayden from the patio. I know Jim likes polaroids, so I thought this would be a nice way to presenting the photo sequence.

I like how it turned out in circular sequence... that's almost completely random in Picasa, so when you get what you think works, save it before you click and lose it.

See Jim's shot of Lauren taken shortly after this sequence.

Stopped at Jim's place today to buy his Canon "Kiss Digital X" body (AKA 400D or Rebel Xti).

I got to meet his oldest daughter and his grandsons. Having seen so many photos of them over the last couple of year, I felt like I already knew them.

I was having a ton of fun sneaking up in my kayak on Bonaparte's Gulls the other evening and managed to snap this moment. It's a little dim, but I actually like the mood it sets.

Making Off de hoje, amanhã estarei postando uma das encomendas que mais gostei de fazer, foi dificil, demorou, mas valeu muito a pena! Só tenho uma coisa para falar, quero uns desses para mim! xDD

We also had some curds from Belfiore to compare with our own batches.

A step by step guide on making a minifig Ice Warrior!

I was a little bit unsure about pulling apart my old Dapol Ice Warrior but then I decided "sod it"- with the amazing Character Options range of Classic Who figures there is really no need to keep those old ones (other then as a reminder on how not to make a range of Who action figures!).

You'll also notice that I am using a pair of green Lego hands- they look a lot more claw like so suit the figure better then the existing CB hands.

I used a 4.8 hand drill to make the hole in the warriors head, the size was just right for it to plug onto the body.

Finally, I gave him a quick coat of acrylic paint.

I may go back and beef his body up- one grumble I have is that the CB bodies are a little to big for Lego body wear as a Lego breastplate painted green would have been perfect.

Making the Bed, what more can I say?

48 Pontiac - Do a Google image search for "Pontiac hood ornaments" sometime ....... probably the most photogenic.

I was making cookies on Friday night and thought I'd play around with my new flash to see what it's like. Quick tip - roll cookies out in powdered sugar instead of flour so they don't get that flour taste and the dough doesn't get dry (trust me once you do it you can't go back to flour)

Gingerbread cookies are my faves at the holidays. Here's my recipe:

When I asked to take a picture of her rolling pretzels she looked at me like I was crazy until I promised just to shoot her hands, then she didn't care. Funny how that works sometimes.
