As I have just booked myself some flights out to South East Asia for another 3 month trip I thought it would be fitting to upload an image I took on my last trip. These are the Petronas Towers, one of Malaysia's most iconic landmarks!

Enjoy! :)

Here is a stunning sequence of the total lunar eclipse from images I shot over the course of the night. I shot these at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA. Hundreds of eclipse watchers descended onto the Frosty Drew campus and we had a true astro geek-out!

Each photo was captured with the following settings:

Camera: Canon 60D MagicLantern

ISO: 640

Here's a shot I snapped of the Messier 4 Globular Star Cluster on May 14, 2015 at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA. Messier 4 is found in the constellation Scorpius and has a size of about 75 light years in diameter. Residing at only 7,200 light years distant, M4 is one of the two closest Globular Clusters to Earth.

finished the editing on the last sunday material. The final result is 121 pics, some of that are hdr (the most) and some are panoramas. in total i've shooted something like 3000 raw in a day :))))) i think if i continue in this way i will change the camera soon, but i'm learning fast, and i'm happy of the results. This one is a 9 exposures hdr. the exposures was taken thank to magiclantern (www.magiclantern.fm).

The hdr tone mapping was done in photomatix, and some adjustments are done in lightroom. i will upload the other 120 pics soon, not all in the same time, so you have the time to see everyone better (or i hope so, noticed that when i upload more than 5 photos the last has not so much visits)

Here is a stunning shot I captured on Wednesday night (June 1, 2016) of the fabulous binary star Nu Draconis. Nu Draconis, found in the constellation Draco, resides at near 100 light years distant. Both stellar components share a distance of 1900 AU and have an orbital period of around 44,000 years. I shot this at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, RI.

Managed to get out and shoot some places around Liverpool this weekend, returned to a recently visited location for sunset and low tide but annoyingly I missed the golden light by about 5 minutes! Either way I still came away with a couple of new images of Perch Rock Lighthouse and low tide.

Enjoy! :)

Continuing on with the BIG Stopper and London trend here's a 10 stop long exposure of the Thames, with the Shard in view on the right of frame. Low tides make for some great images of London as so many interesting artefacts can be found on the riverbed.

Took this image whilst on a photo-meet with Mike, it was a fun evening finished off with a few well-earned pints - (www.flickr.com/photos/murphyzmike/)!

This is one of the postcards we got at last months postcard show. I think it might be the most special. If it is possible to be better than mint condition this one is. It is a German mechanical postcard of a Chromatrope slide being projected by three children with a simple magic lantern. When the cardboard wheel that can be seen extending beyond the edges of the card is turned the colored patterns spin like a kaleidoscope. I wish I could show the movement here. It is a chromolithograph and the children and magic lantern are embossed. The only identification is the German trademark "Depose D.R.G.M." and "L. & B. - B." An email from a correspondent in Switzerland tells me that the initials are for Littauer & Boysen from Berlin. Thanks, Tom!

I'm very glad I managed to capture such a nice image this morning, I had to stand around for an hour with temperatures around -10 degrees to capture this.
