You live in a great big green world
With all your green friends
and no on every bothers you
if they aren’t green.
It’s always fun and safe and you are happy
Except you still think about the friends you don’t see
The ones who aren’t green and the ones
Who aren’t alive.
You still think about the family you’re missing
Because they are no longer part of
Your big green world.
No longer safe for you.
It’s so much better to stay in this safe space
Except
Sometimes you get lonely in the midst of the crowd
of others you can trust.
And you wonder….
What if we could all just be a part of this world?
Like it used to be just a few years ago…
Before everything changed.
Then you remember….
We always managed to find a way to separate ourselves
Divide instead of unite
and decide we definitely were not all connected.

"Odio queste cicatrici perché mi fanno sentire diverso
Posso nasconderle da tutti, ma non da me stesso
È un armatura cresciuta col tempo
Ogni ferita è un passaggio che porta al lato migliore di noi
Perché attraverso loro puoi guardarmi dentro
Sentire cosa provo, capire cosa sento
Non conta la destinazione, ma il tragitto
Il peggiore dei finali non cancella mai un inizio"

"Portami in alto come gli aeroplani
Saltiamo insieme, vieni con me
Anche se ci hanno spezzato le ali
Cammineremo sopra queste nuvole
Passeranno questi temporali
Anche se sarà difficile
Sarà un giorno migliore domani"
I’ve been waiting for you all along
Pirouetting in a strange dark macabre dance
To prove a point about the strength and versatility of humans.
I’ve been waiting for you all along.
You, yes you, to realize we must change in order to grow.
I am clumsy…I fall frequently.
My muscles cramp and my bones break.
And yet, I still dance to show you perseverance and to prove my point
We must take action that puts us outside of our comfort zone.
We must take risks that benefit the rest of humanity and not just ourselves
And this life, is the strangest dance that there is.
Still,
I’ve been waiting for you all along and I hope you join me in both laughing and falling.
