Discovered the labyrinth by Merri Creek. It's tucked away, someone had to help me find it. But it's beautiful, secluded enough without feeling completely apart from the world, and nicely overgrown with grass and plants. From what I've found it's been there awhile, but no one knows who constructed it.

a small labyrinth walk leads to a creche. along the labyrinth are figures of the Christmas story making their way to the manger.

A bug catcher innocently wanders into an abandoned portion of a labyrinth. The "Maze" awakens, eager for the rare opportunity to add to it's collection. Within it's landscape can be seen the remnants of previous explorers, now permanent dwellers.
2012. I forgot my camera for the actual event, so I set it back up and took pictures in the backyard.

Labyrinth, ein Weg mit Irrwegen, oder einfach nur ein verschlungener Weg
mit Start und Ziel. Paralell verlaufende Linien, sich immer
wiederholend. Ein Labyrinth hat etwas beruhigendes, meditatives. Es lädt
zum verweilen ein, denn einmal gestartet gibt es kein entrinnen mehr bis
zum Ziel.
