The rear end of Arriva North West 3061 MX10 DCZ is seen here in Queen Square as it operates route 10B to Liverpool.
This bus, along with 3058-60, have been on loan to Arriva Malta for the past 9 months. They have now returned. In an effort to get them into service quicker, the LED's have been rather poorly programmed. The front shows the route number on the left, the side just shows the number and the rear doesn't work at all.
Train 24 starts to pull out of Dorval station and past the search light signals that stand guard here. I noticed a lot of work going on to replace a large amount of the search lights going west out of Montreal and then again some search lights seem to have been updated with LED's and possibly reworked.
This was a continuation of a class assignment on lighting. I had done some earlier photos of silos in a train yard and thought that would be a good place to set-up a night shoot. I knew there were cars on the siding because they had been there for more than a week. Sure enough there they were.
Nightfall came at 7:10 that evening, so I got there at 9 to make sure it was very dark. I chose the train yard because I didn't have to contend with ambient light from other sources.
. . . .BY NITE I was to be the foundation shot, and I was going to do details of different parts of the wheel truck. So setting up the LED video lights, I took several shots.of the truck. Then I moved the lights to catch the refelction and highlights off the polished surface of the wheel where it meets the track . . . and that is when I heard "ka-chunk" and the train began to move. Scared the beejeezus out of me. I grabbed the camera off the tripod, crouched down and started shooting where I had pre-aimed the LED's. And that's how I got the second shot.
Thank goodness, I nixed the idea of lighting from behind the wheels with the LED's.
Now it`s done!
My biggest dream since i build Lego (about 6 years ago) is true.
I want build always a big Star Wars Diorama like Hoth ore something, but Rhen Var from the old Battlefront games are such a great planet and doenst see really much of this location.
So, now some facts:
- Building time 10 months
- 250.000 parts
- 250 minifigs
- size 2,5 x 1,5 meters
Credits to SIaki, Brickwright and Lary Lars for the X/Y-Wing and Snowspeeder.
Also to all they build an AT-AT the last time! I have only 3 weeks time to build it complete and so i was inspiration by many versions of it.
After the exhibition next week in Mondsee/Austria i would make an new AT-AT, this version is not so really perfect but the time was running!
Special Thanks to Boga for the LED`s and all they help me with tips and parts.
The highlight for me, watching two Grob 109's strapped up to the nines with LED's and pyros!!

Stephen Hawking 8 January 1942 - 14 March 2018. He had to be one of the greatest scientists of all time. A person I respected and greatly admired.
“For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen. Speech has allowed the communication of ideas, enabling human beings to work together to build the impossible. Mankind’s greatest achievements have come about by talking, and its greatest failures by not talking. It doesn’t have to be like this. Our greatest hopes could become reality in the future. With the technology at our disposal, the possibilities are unbounded. All we need to do is make sure we keep talking.”
Not many black holes available to see from the garden so here's one I made.

I had been a fan.
I’ve now “evolved” onto to other means (like LED’s etc)
of finding a good bathroom mirror illumination system that’s flattering and not like a Carnival-Fun-House- Special Effects Mirror! Plus…The Linestra is expensive and high-maintenance, as well.
I love this photo and these buses. I am so glad this turned out well as my other many shots were either dark or faulty LED's. So when this missed the lights I jumped on the oppotunity. So here we see Brand new Lothian City Bus 1087 at Bruntsfield on a service 16 to Colinton looking brilliant.

Hi there!

Vauxhall Corsa VN09 KVU.
As far as i know this is the only Corsa in the fleet,it is used by the Safer community team/pcso's. Interestingly it has a double set of LED's in the grill as this vehicle rarely does grade 1 jobs.
I'm also thinking it is ex demonstrator?? as it is not Northamptonshire registered and it has only been around a few months.
The Wilshire Grand Center and the Hotel Intercontinental in Downtown Los Angeles shine bright. The addition of these LED's to the skyline has come with mixed reviews. The Korean Air symbol shines so bright thats it's border-line obnoxious. The LED light wall, that goes down the stairwell, is much classier and compliments the skyline nicely.
I love the light in this picture: green LED’s light up the US lab module, warmer evening lights in Node-2, and the light reflected on Earth by the Sun projects on the ceiling. Not sure what Shane was taking a picture of, but it was in daylight!

OK, it's another metal type shot, but it's kind of a 'tools of my trade' composition, and the title seemed to fit. Taken on top of my macbook, with my LED torch in shot (which incidentally has 6 LED's in it)
HMM! Theme: Six
Believe it or not, but none of the components are powered...
A green laser beam hits the LED's from the right while a desk lamp is responsible for the white light from the top.
The parts lie on a plexiglas panel and there is a red printed circuit board (PCB) underneath.
The biggest LED's are 10 mm in diameter while the smaller one are 5 mm.
Taken 06/12/13
For a TfL service, it makes a very nice change to have a bus out that has white LED's on it instead of day-glow or WOB blinds. Nice bus, no rattle, very quiet ride, but unfortunately quite uncomfortable seats. This is only staying on the route for 2 weeks.

Experiment with some LED's I've had for a while (and completely forgot about until I wondered what I put in that box).
Sometimes, when there's a knotty problem, X-Genius himself gets dirty! He likes to do it and he wishes it could happen more often! This is one of those cases: that turbine is giving a lot of trouble, even to X-Genius. That landspeeder is a real piece of junk! Luckily, they are pimping it!
I tried at least three different versions of the turbine, but I ended up using Larry Lars's one (absolutely brilliant, imho) with some modifications.
As for the photo: it was a nightmare, it really was! It took me more than a hour for the setup. I am not used to so long sessions, just for a single photo. Once again I used the Metz Mecalight for the light from beneath and a Lifelites led for the welding machine light. I didn't manage to fix that damned led in the right position and I swear, I was about to give up. Eventually, it was almost midnight, I did it!
By the way, the led's wire is hidden by the jawa in the foreground... So, that's the result. Hope you like it!
P.S. A second after I uploaded the photo to Flickr, I realized that under General Grievous' right feet you can see a 1x1 round plate that I had to use to rotate him through the right angle... AAARGH!!! Sorry guys, I'm not going to reshoot it! ;-)
Having a little clear out on the hard drive and found this from an old farmhouse thats now gone. Was showing the whole long exposure thing to a fellow explorers daughter on a quick detour visit. Must admit that kitchen wasnt the best place to swing a few led's about!
Just one of many LED s in a string of Christmas lights along with its reflections in the 2 layers of double glazing just behind it.
Holiday Lights for Macro Mondays
Hi there!
This is probably my biggest and most detailled MOC since I started Flickr four years ago. The roof technique the food shop is from Andrew Somers (Check out his build, note added in the photo!) The water (glass) technique is from Joseph Z. (Checkout his build too, note added in the photo! :)) Besides that everything in this build is my own design. I did modify Andrew's roof design a bit ;) The build is illuminated by different LED's Oh and please check out my Instagram too! For behind the scenes, updates and more! (www.instagram.com/eddy_plu/)

PS. Feel free to blog ;D But please give me credit and let me know about it! :)
DRS class 37 038 propelling 1Q47 Derby RTC - Carlisle test train with 37 218 through Red Bank. May 15th 2019.
37 038 was a product of Vulcan foundry and originally built with split headcode boxes. After all the sub classes were developed 37 038 appears to have the plated over front nose, removal of buffer skirts and roof mounted horns plus all the componants required for todays railways, OTMR, GSMR, Wi Pac LED's, headlight and no doubt a lot more but minus its boiler lol.
Enjoying the macro LP theme this week. so many ideas i just carnt get to work just yet .... mirror and live view used for focus on spin plus long arms to adjust... couldnt bring myself to give it my usual wide crop.
This is a picture of my first personal computer that I built from scratch. This is the glowing inside... Yeah it's nerdy, but hey it's original. You can see better detail of what's inside the case in this photo with the neon lights off.
I actually own two cases like this, one is a server (Windows SBS 2003) and runs an AMD 3000 CPU, and the other newer machine is my personal workstation and has a new Dual Core AMD CPU.
There are two cold cathode tubes, with UV reflective cables, and cable wrapping. The blue cables are either SATA or Parallel ATA cables, and the green cables are either power or misc connections.
There are also fans that have blue LED's in them, and the CPU cooler from Zalman has a blue LED in it as well. I also have memory head spreaders with blue LED's on them, and green UV PCI protectors on the open PCI slots.
