I have tons of gadgets and I use all of them at one time or another.
ODC - Machine(s)
A new addition to my kitchen gadget collection. My daughter got one and said it was great. It is large, heavy duty and well made. It is another versatile kitchen gadget.
They are cross... lol.
I could not resist the spatulas, they are small, 20cm in all, however that makes them perfect to 'empty' small jars or sauce-pans.
As I love being 'creative' in the kitchen these are definitely my kind of GADGETS!!
Thanx for your comment and time, M, (*_*)

Electrical kitchen gadgets are popular but my can opener sits at the back of a cabinet while I use some old easy and quick to use old implements.
I am an oldie myself and oldie gadgets are just fine for me!

THE HEART OF THE MATTER? LOVE MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND? ON VALENTINE'S DAY it does?
MESMERIZING aren't they? OP-HEARTS or POP-HEARTS? LOL? Best not 'jiggle' it about!
They all point at the core...
Love's Core Values
by Dr. Charles D. Schmitz and Dr. Elizabeth A. Schmitz of all successful loving relationships are at the heart of the matter. If you and your mate master these values, your love will, in all probability, last a lifetime.
1. The couple in love is committed to always putting each other first in their relationship with each other.
2. The couple in love is committed to democracy in their relationship.
3. The couple in love is committed to ensuring their mutual happiness.
4. The couple in love values absolute trustworthiness and integrity in their relationship with each other.
5. The couple in love is committed to caring and unconditional love for each other.
6. The couple in love is committed to being mutually respectful towards each other.
7. The couple in love values their mutual sense of responsibility for each other.
A special day, but don't forget, Valentine... love not just ONE day... but 365?

This is my block for the kitchen gadget theme in September... I'm plugging away at the embroidery while sitting twiddling my thumbs! (Hard to do while embroidering!!! LOL!) I'm close to being done! I'm planning on adding a knob in the center of the flower (button)...

I'll try this again! My description disappeared! Got this with my Mueller Pressure Cooker/Instant pot and I love it. It is very sharp and does a great job julienning the veggies.

I LOVE that old box that's holding the gadgets. It's an old Walter Baker's Chocolate box. I grew up near the old Baker's Chocolate factory and use to smell the heavenly scent of chocolate in the air and hear the 8:00 am and 4:00 pm whistles. When the factory closed and relocated, they actually GAVE away tons of chocolate. My mother worked at a local deli at the time and she was offered some of the chocolate. We kids were so excited when she came home with 4 blocks of 3" chocolate 18x30" long! We nibbled on that for a long long time. Kids' heaven! :)

I tossed out my other can opener. It made the edges of the can lid very sharp, this one smooths the edge so you can't cut yourself.
For Our Daily Challenge - In the Kitchen. I shot a tupperware collander in the light of an open fridge door. I opened it in PS, duplicated it and flipped the duplicate horizonally. I moved one on top of the other and used multiply to blend. I moved one image horizontally until I liked the mirror image. Then I cropped and made further adjustments to taste. This is an insulated glass cup/mug. The glass is manufactured by JAJ and the yellow base is made from melamine
I love this old-school kitchen gadget! You place its many-ringed base into your pot of hot chocolate, then roll the handle back and forth between your palms to make it twirl. It makes your chocolate nice and frothy! That cone-shaped lump is piloncillo, by the way -- unrefined cane sugar.

Update 2008.05.14:
We tried it last night with avocado smoothies and chopping up some garlic and preserved lemon to make a fish marinade and it passed quite happily. The results was a slightly chunky marinade, probably because there wasn't enough to fill the blades, confirming my theory that good blenders have conical bottoms to cause the contents to collect close to the blade.
The Amazing Chef performed quite well with the cauliflower puree that filled the capsule to three quarters full.
We even had a few cubes of ice in the avocado smoothie and it managed to crush it all, no choking or sputtering. :)
The cups/capsules are polycarbonte, I think. Microwave and dishwasher safe. A quick rinse sorted them out mostly. The screw on blades is a bit annoying though. It takes more effort than most click-on blender lids. And the sillicone seals are a bit finicky to position. Not sure how the after sales support is for things like seals etc. My mum always raves about her Prestige pressure cooker that is 35yo and she can still find seals for it!
