For a few weeks, my "s" key has been intermittent. I started poking in the keyboard with a thin screwdriver and dislodged a small scrap of paper that was interfering with the key.
Lacking a can of compressed air, I took out the vacuum cleaner, and got repulsed at all of the hair and crud that started climbing out of the keys.
I mananged to dislodge my command key, and tool a good 20 minutes to monkey with the plastic parts to get it re-attached.
I've had this keyboard since about 1994. And I bought it used for $1. It's a generic IBM AT model. The feel is fantastic, and the audio response is big, the way I like it. It sounds like a machine gun when I'm in the 'zone'. They don't make em like this anymore.
...and in that spirit, I took it apart, washed it, and put it back together to make it just like new again.

This was not for me - to be true to the mod I really needed to preserve this!
