Seoul city night scape. I'm safe to say that I am not suffering from jetlag
Taken for my Project 365. Your comments are appreciated, it gives me the motivation to continue.
The city jet & whisper jet, the unique Avro.
Way back in January 1987, the BAe 146 was selected as the launch jet aircraft for London City Airport (LCY).
Due to its short-field capabilities and quietness, it was the perfect choice. It was at the time the only conventional jet aircraft that could use London City Airport.
Cityjet continued to the last operator of this type into LCY until the onset of Covid-19 in early 2020 when the fleet was prematurely retired.

Back from New York!! What a beautiful city! Hopefully I get the chance to go back someday... :)
I'm feeling some jetlag symptoms so I'll catch up with you tomorrow!
38/365
First cheating day:) Actually I did this shot a few days ago, but I've lost 9 hours because of the jetlag when i got home, and I totally forgot to make another on monday. Finally I shifted the last one to be the 39th, and inserted this one..:)

Jetlag took me out into misty early morning and I walked both above (see inset) and below the cliffs on which the suburb of Miraflores, Lima, is built. Hard as I tried I couldn't really imagine the Battle of Miraflores, January 15, 1881. Peru and Chile had been at war since 1879 and one of the decisive battles that led finally to a peace treaty in 1884 was this one. Peruvian and Chilean forces were more or less evenly matched; both numbered about 12000 men; and casualties were similar, too.
The narrow beach comes to a full stop at the edge of these cliffs. If you look at paintings of the Battle, it's surprising how the artists have invariably painted a rather broad battlefield. Perhaps the beach was wider a century and a half ago. Regardless, escape appeared to have been impossible. About 30% of the soldiers died.

Jetlag is tough on the body and the mind but, apparently, it's great for taking sunrise shots. Up at 5:00 a.m. I was out wandering the coastline looking for a spot. Here we are looking east across the Mediterranean. I wish I could bottle this getting up early stuff. ;)
Three shot HDR: 0,-2,+2 (25s, 6s, 30s).; Focal Length: 10mm; f/22. Processed in Photomatix with a slight curve adjustment in PS. Note - no color tweaks.
Day 2
This is the view outside my sister's balcony. It's hard to believe that it was this light out at 4:30AM. So far no real jetlag to speak of. Yay! :)
Sunday night football in the sports bar should keep me awake after the flight. As for Joe, well he's just a sucker for the short stuff.....

straight out of camera yay.
It was super windy this morning. The tripod kept falling and I would be so ninja and catch it. But of course, no one is there to see it.
Despite the jetlag, I'm starting the monumental task of working through our Europe trip shots today.
This one was a fun, if not overly original, series of ice cream shots I took throughout Europe.
My daughter was the willing participant/model and was disappointed when I abandoned the series about 3 weeks in due to the rapid rate of meltage in the heat, resulting in yet more laundry needing to be done along the way:)
Feeling a bit jet-lagged green and it far too early to check into my hotel, I wandered around in that marvelous nature reserve separating Buenos Aires from the wide expanse of the Rio de la Plata, Costanera Sur. Declared a natural treasure in 1986, its tracks are a beloved exercise spot especially on Sundays. But that didn't seem to deter nature. This is one of the many wondrous things I saw.
Here's a Green Metallic Sweat Bee, perhaps one belonging to the Augochlora clan. It's foraging on what's possibly best called in English a Large-Leaf Mallow, Abutilon grandifolium. In the literature it's often named Hairy Indian Mallow, but that 'Indian' is for the East where many Abutilons are found but our Orange calls South America its home, and especially Bolivia. It's now dispersed all over the tropic and temparate zones worldwide.
Whatever the case, our Bee and its Protein Store seemed well at home in the Spring of Buenos Aires's nature reserve.
No doubt that traveling is one of the most beautiful human pleasures. But, things turn blurry when you lose the notion of being asleep or awake. Things around seem to pass in slow motion and you find yourself always dreaming about a good sleep in a comfortable bed. Share your #JetLag adventures with us. Show us how do you see the world while traveling.
Take a new photo from today on and share it in the #FlickrFriday group. We'll feature our favorites next week on Flickr Blog.

The Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre is a wildlife conservation and research centre for improving animal welfare and rehabilitation of the Malayan sun bear. It also aims to raise public awareness about the plight of the sun bears and to raise conservation awareness about this species.
I am back from my wonderful vacation in Florida. But I am not really back, I have Jetlag x 1000. East to west jetlag isn't easy at all... So I need another week to get myself together. I just wanted to pop by and say "I miss you all" ♥

Just awake long enough to let everyone know that we are safely relocated from Vietnam to the USA (currently Kentucky), and having a nice long nap. I have something like thousands of pictures to upload from the last two years, so watch this space. Yawn.
First, compare this skyline to my previous post on flickr ;) I came back from Japan with many new impressions and totally overwhelmed by the size of Tokyo and the friendly people! Isn't it crazy that 35 million people manage to live in one of the most expensive cities on the planet and still be so incredibly friendly?
We didn't manage to leave the city, not even for Mt Fuji, shame on us. We almost missed our flight, seriously. We didn't even see the Tsukiji fish market - the biggest and most famous in the world. We didn't even eat sushi. Ok, this was the messiest trip ever, heavily influenced by jetlag, orientation facilities and language barriers, national holidays and the disappointment that we didn't even manage to see/taste the most iconic things in Japan. Still, I will have fond memories of this incredible place and hope to be back again one day and do all the things I missed out this time! After all such experiences only reflect the vastness and well organized chaos of the place...
London downtown from the lookout on top of Gipsy Hill on a beautiful sunny day. Walking off the jetlag before heading out to explore London.
What a pity- not really mine, only for a week...Heidi, the owner, gave us her house full of art and books with "airbnb", and we have been so happy with it!
Every early morning (jetlag...) I sat there and drunk a cup of tea in the morning dust, watching the sun rising up...
[or, read the real thing (in pdf)]
While aimlessly lying about in airport lounge armchairs, waiting for our delayed flight, we got to enjoy some “circadian adaptive lighting”, designed to keep the “hostages” from rioting, I suppose...
