I have a love hate relationship with the time spent taking this photograph.
This specific image was a breakthrough for me because I finally figured out how to successfully photograph black colored LEGO (lots of strategically placed index cards and carefully bounced light)
This photo was also a huge pain to shoot. Unfortunately when you correctly photographic black LEGO you can also see every speck of dust. I physically removed as much dust as I could (Vader had been sitting around gathering dust for years) and removed what little remained digitally.
The Vader minifigure is precariously balanced and he kept tipping over when I would begin to place the frogs on him or if I would accidentally bump the table.
I only had a limited amount of frogs (7) so I had to take several photographs and combine those together to get the small horde of attacking frogs I wanted. Looking at the final image now I am suffering from Spielberg regret and I should have added more frogs.
Overall this photo was an extreme exercise in patience, but it was worth the time and frustration.
So next time you are walking around and randomly see a small group of frogs, steer clear or you may be the victim of a random attack.

Yes, the man who said the iconic Star Wars line "It's A Trap!" in Return of the jedi has sadly passed away at the age of 93...Erik Bauersfeld not only voiced Admiral Ackbar in both Return of The Jedi and The Force Awakens, but also voiced Bib Fortuna. His work will always be remembered! Rest In Peace.

Well, here is yet another Iron Builder entry against that Scotsman with a caffeine addiction, Rod “2MuchCaffeine” Gillies, and this time its...(snickers)...Admiral Snackbar. (snickers) Heh heh...Admiral Snackbar! Heh heh. Yep, I went there! Admiral Snackbar. HAH HAH HAH! Oh God, I can’t believe how funny I am! It’s deep on so many levels! Instead of Admiral Ackbar its Admiral Snackbar! HAH HAH! Cuz He’s been hittin’ the snacks a lot lately. Admiral Snackbar! it gets funnier every time I say it!

This is my first ever entry to the Monday Macro group, thought I join the fun :-)
I spotted this spider at a visit to Fernworthy Reservoir, a lovely location in Dartmoor National Park. The area was incredibly colourful with bluebells, gorse and rhododendrons growing everywhere. While passing a rhododendron I stopped and had a closer look - that's when I discovered this green beast lurking in the beauty. I doubt that she could take on bees and bumblebees but the odd fly will surely be captured in her web....
It has been done before. Numerous versions of one of the most quoted star wars lines. "It's a trap". But it's a classic to celebrate a newly purchased Admiral Ackbar... So here's mine!

Ive been working on this model (my largest to date) for the past month and i can honestly say im happy to see it go. It took up almost all of my black bricks and all of my green so after i destroy it i can start building alot of my future projects faster.
After a long absence, Boba Fett returns to the Death Star, his home away from home. Shortly after his arrival, Stormtrooper Bruce and the guys show up with an interesting dilemma.
Stormtrooper Bruce: Dude, I've been waiting months for you to come back. I desperately need your advise!
Fett: Tell me something new.
STB: Dude, this is serious. Remember when The P made those upgrades to the officers deck and Vader took over my quarters? Well he left THIS!
TK-1110: It's too horrible to think about. A) Either he had a lady friend sneak on board.
TK-432: Gross!
TK-1110: Or B) this is Vader's own shoe!
TK-432: Even grosser!
STB: See what I mean! Vader left it, and now I don't know what to do. I can't take it back and say, "Looking for this?"
Fett: Instant choke hold for certain.
TK-432: Or the crucaitus curse!
TK-1110: That's Lord Voldermort, not Lord Vader.
TK-432: Same difference. Just saying.
STB: And with all the security cameras on board, I can't toss it in the garbage compactor. If someone sees me they'll think it's mine!
Chewie: Grrarrgg! meodfmssfgh!
STB: No, Chewie! You can't have it!
Fett: *sigh" Once a moron, always a moron. Can't you see it's obviously C) ... a Trap?
STB: A trap! How... ?
Fett: No Chewie! A trap as in - whether or not he left it on purpose. As you said you can't approach him. And you can't blackmail him with it. That would mean the air lock with no questions asked.
STB: You think he set a trap for me? NO, Chewie!
Fett: OK, then how about A Test? To see your reaction. And I think perhaps you passed because you haven't told anyone about it... except us and we don't count.
STB: Great, but now what?
Fett: Well, this has got to be the ugliest shoe I've ever seen! And, there's a nearby moon where I take lots of space trash for target practice. Would you like to do the honors?
STB: You mean, blow it to smithereens?
TK-432: Oooh, Smithereens - is that on Tatooine?
A Venus's Flytrap. LOTS of them. Beware all you pesky little flies! Bwahaha!
OK, too much coffee - I'm better now. These very cool little plants were the first ones I've ever seen. Kinda pretty and kinda creepy all at the same time.

I was getting ready to put up another batch of LEGO stuff, editing the sand green fish, and it hit me: the fish could work like a hilt for a lightsaber. But who would wield such a think? Kit Fisto? Too obvious...Ackbar! PERFECT! -JD
