Photographed December 2018 / Rolleiflex 'Old Standard' Twin Lens Reflex with Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 7.5cm/3.8 lens. Film was ILFORD 3200 DELTA PRO metered ASA 800 developed in sodium carbonate version PYROCAT-HD (5ml A + 50ml B > 600ml, 7min, 20*C) negative was digitalised by way of a Pentax k3 DSLR and EL-NIKKOR 63mm/28 enlarging lens on an adjustable length helicoid extension tube. The image was edited, processed & finished on an iPad mini using the Snap Seed application.
There are interesting places in St. Petersburg. They have a certain energy. This shot was taken 100 meters from the apartment of FM Dostoevsky ... A very unusual phenomenon. «In the image, uniqueness and duration are as closely connected as fleetingness and repeatability in reproduction. The cleansing of the object from its shell, the destruction of the aura are a characteristic sign of that perception in which the feeling of the same type with respect to everything in this world has grown so much that it uses the reproduction to achieve uniformity even from unique phenomena.»

Snack logic is suspended inside the neighbourhood tiendita. You want crisps? They’ve got twenty kinds. Yoghurt, bleach, powdered milk, tamarind candy shaped like angry fruit? All yours. The lighting is bad, the shelves are overburdened, and the experience is sublime.
