Pleased with my new Kohler medicine cabinet. Even more pleased that Fred installed it himself!

Since I'm on holiday I decided to setup outdoors today but, as if on cue, I tighten the last light stand and it started to rain. Being Las Vegas, umbrellas are as common as two piece swimsuits in Alaska so I made due with what I had near me.

 

From lights to camera, weather sealed gear keeps you going.

After injecting a glue (Big Wally's Plaster Magic), anchor the plaster to the lathe and let it sit for a day or more.

I couldn't help but notice the windsor chair on the porch, which could easily date to a century earlier than this photo.

When my dishwasher screwed the pooch, it blew out the headpiece on the sink drain. I had to replace it before the new dishwasher could be put it. I am proud of myself that I did this replacement.

has so far resisted my efforts to remove it, but I haven’t given up yet

Tomorrow I do battle with the (possibly) toxic lead paint coating our back door and window trim. (And yes, those are tiny Colonel paw prints from when he was a puppy.)

Edmund Place after restoration and a new paint scheme. Prior to this the wood trim was painted white. The mansion was originally known as the Frederick Butler House.

While I have been tinkeing with my cameras; my wife with the aid of my son; has been respraying and reupholstering our four dining room chair, after decades of hard use.
