Hinx avait son port sur l'Adour. Ce port a connu une très grande activité : les gabarres et les galupes amenaient les récoltes vers Dax et Saint-Sever et débarquaient les 'épices'. Avant la Révolution française, ce port, ainsi que ses diverses activités (bac qui passait d'une rive à l'autre, commerce, nasse de pêche) était la propriété des seigneurs de Hinx. Il y avait aussi deux moulins à cheval sur le ruisseau du Mouliot, dont le plus important comportait trois meules.

Mas lo que hinxe para poder pillar una de estas makinas, pero la tarea fue cumplida logre pillar uno de estos metalsur, que de verdad son makinas muy llamativas en estas versiones que en la doble piso, pocas empresas por lo visto al menos en mendoza la poseen pero dentro de las que mas destacan al menos de pintura es justamente es esta iselin. Un buen detalle de esta unidad son sus calibradores, aunk las llantas blancas no se = como que le dan su toke.

L'Adour est un fleuve du bassin aquitain dans le sud-ouest de la France, classé site Natura 2000.
D'une longueur de 307,1 kms , il prend sa source dans le massif pyrénéen du Pic du Midi de Bigorre, au col du Tourmalet (Hautes-Pyrénées)
et se jette dans l'océan Atlantique après Bayonne, à Tarnos (Landes) pour la rive droite et Anglet (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) pour la rive gauche.
L'Adour entretenait une forte activité de transport de marchandises sur galupes (gabarres landaises), permettant d'écouler la production de l'intérieur du Sud-Ouest et notamment les vins des vignobles gascons. Cette activité perdura jusqu'à l'orée du xxe siècle où elle s'inclina devant l'arrivée du train, plus rapide et plus économique. Les quatre principaux ports de l'Adour étaient par ordre décroissant de tonnage réalisé :

Ebonite or hard rubber fountain pens can be modified to take dip pen nibs like this tachikawa g pen nib. The hard rubber can be carefully heated and formed into the necessary shape to accept the nib and provide capillary flow of ink to the tines. This allows one to do do dip pen illustration without the limitations imposed by traditional dip pens and ink wells. Fountain pen ink however comes with it's own drawbacks compared to the ease and reliability of India ink. Old fountain pen nibs also offer a good amount of line variety and can be very flexible and expressive. All of these pens are eyedroppers and can be completely filled with ink. From left to right they are; an eclipse with a gold flex nib about #3 in size, a large no name pen with a very flexible # 6 gold nib, a thin hintz pen modified to take large dip nibs. Before the development of modern stainless steel and plating technology gold was used for pen nibs because it was the only available metal that did not corrode and could be accurately tempered to a springy hardness.
